Default Bottega Veneta Intrecciato Trolley
Bottega Veneta Intrecciato Trolley

Personally, the thought of buying luxury luggage makes no sense. Even if the bag is just a carry on, you are looking to have it exposed to dirt, residue, spills, scuffs, tears, and stains. I am not sure it makes me a hypocrite, but I do travel with my designer bag as my 'purse' carry on, and many times my bag ends up sitting on my lap. But to roll on an extravagant piece of travel gear, the kind of extravagance that people only dream can be on their handbag, is absurd. Right? Must be wrong, because the Bottega Veneta Intrecciato Trolley is being sold to the rich and famous and BV obsessed. Measuring approximately 20" x 14" x 9", this trolley adheres to BV's signature woven Nappa leather. The size is a perfect carry on, but if you have a commuter flight beware. Your precious bag will get thrown under the plane with the rest of them, and undoubtedly will not be treated any kinder than the plain black luggage from Target next to it. Don't get me wrong, I absolutely love this piece, but until I am flying private plane only, this will not be on my list. Buy it through Bottega Veneta for $3960.

I feel the same Megs! I would be too paranoid to use expensive luggage! Unless one day I become rich and famous!! LOL

One time at the airport, I saw a cart with 5+ full sized Louis Vuitton luggages and they each had another clear plastic cover suitcases custom fitted over the lv's!

If I ever buy LV trunks for full sized luggages, they are going to be in my living room as decorative pieces, not to be thrown around along with the other target suitcases ~

Its nice enough, but there's no way I'd ever fork out that much money for something which would be mistreated!

Just to add,

When you have expensive luggage, your luggage is more prone to being stolen when you have to check in your luggage. Most people can spot an expensive piece of luggage, especially LV ones and when it goes allong the moving thing in baggage claim, you don't think someone won't realize that the person who owns the luggage has money and decides to steal the luggage. Unless I have my own private jet, i'm sticking with the cheaper bags so that my precious personal items are not stolen.

This bag is stunningly beautiful and I can only imagine its soft velvety feel! I would also imagine that everyone else who comes in contact with it would like to feel or have it as well. I would be completely worried sick everytime it left me. Too much to handle for traveling-I'll stick to BV handbags only!
