Megs and everyone else... wow so glad this is here. Should my next gucci be the Queen Bag which i love, love, love because of the big gold bow (i am italian... loving the gold) or should I buy something perhaps a little more classic and durable like the positano? They are so different.....?? I hear the bow on the queen scratches really easily... for those who do not know the bow is as big as a hand spand. Very large. I have loved the positano for ages but always seem to buy something else instead. My friends also tell me the positano is too old for me.... thoughts?? I am 25. They are so different... My gucci canvas bags so far include the duccessa and abbeys. Am i overdoing the monogram?

I am hoping the Queen will be in the next sale, but alas, I doubt the positano will ever be discounted!! They are both roughly the same price in my city... around $1800 - $1900 (I live in Australia, everything is over priced compared to US....) I also find alot of online stores will not post out to Aus...

I have owned both a MJ Stam and a Paddy and agree with your assessment. It is the weight of that darn (beautiful) lock that makes someone eventually sell their Paddy. I still love that satchel design though.

Wow that page with the pics and story of your grenat paddington takes me back! Reading it and looking at the pics opened my heart to the paddington, and since then I came here and have bought about 8 of my own!

I will always love paddington's for their tough and thick leather.

Great idea! And your answer, Megs, was great! I've been always intrigued by the stam but never bitten... I may have to rethink given your response. I like what you wrote about the paddy too! in love w/ mine but never use it!
