Planning my big 21st birthday!! IDEAS!

So, my 21st birthday is coming up. (Kinda close, but not really. It's Jan. 8th however I know me, I'm so busy I need to start planning asap!) And I know I want to have a DJ so we can dance all night long. Clubs are fun, but I'm not really wanting to celebrate with another 1000 people I don't know. My coworker told me she would help me out with the music because she's a professional DJ. We started to think of venues on a budget, and then my manager told me to let him plan it. It's sounds amazing. His idea is having it at this place he throws a lot of events. Hes knows the owner of an upscale restaurant thats a boat, and he said he would have everyone picked up in a stretch hummer limo taking the the boat and the second deck and roof top will be closed off for us. There will be catered food all served to each table, and once were all done eating, we go up top on the roof top and dance the night away. My friend the DJ has a boyfriend who is a videoagrapher who can capture it all on dvd OR BLUE RAY for me!! We're also planning on hiring a photographer to take pictures on a red carpet when everyone arrives! It would be fun and a great way to have pictures of EVERYONE when they arrived all dressed up. Also pictures taken through out the evening. Plus my manger offered to have people dressed in costume because it's going to be a themed party, either pirates or "under the sea". In addition theres a spa ON THE BOAT! Hot girls in bikinis! Haha, and there in a master suit there for me and DF to spend the night in. the whole boat for ourselves, and we have security outside in a trailer!! It'll be night time so it'll be too cold to be in the water, but they did offer to let us use the brand new 4 jet skis! Haha!


What do you ladies think?? Got any better ideas on how I should celebrate?? TIA!

A majority of my friends only know a few other friends. It's like I have a lot of different circles of friends. Do you think this big event will go well with a lot of people who don't know all each other? (There's about 100 people coming) Or should I ditch this and do something smaller with each set of friends??

My birthday is going to be very soon and I dont know either, whether I should celebrate it with all my friends together or no. But I think I will celebrate it with each circle of friends, because they are too different.

I had this big huge party all planned out for my 21st, then I got cold feet thinking nobody would show lmao! So we just went out with a bunch of my friends, had dinner then went to a club/lounge(more layed back than a club, but still fun!) and partied the night away. It was memorable, but I do wish I would have thrown a party(there is always this year, right?).

Anywho, your b-day really sounds like its going to be great! Trust me, Jan will come soooo fast, you NEED all this time to plan! I started thinking about my party like 3 months before my actual birthday, it deff. could have been done, but you really do need atleast 6 months! Ok, Im done babbling lol! Im so excited for you!!! woohoo!!

Congrats on turning 21! I feel all old, I'm turning 23 in November lol.

For my 21st, I just went to LA with my parents and did a very large amount of shopping and instead of a cake, I got cupcakes at Sprinkles...then last summer I went to Vegas with my friends as a belated celebration.
Your ideas sound great!
