I want and I need and I want and I need a WTM Midi!! And after much consideration, I think Light Purple in Matt leather will be super gorgeous.
I have received the swatch from Maya, and I must say that it's really pretty, a true purple with no red undertones. The Matt leather looks and feels super durable too, light fingernail scratches can be gently rubbed away, which I feel is a must for messenger bags. Here's audball's Matt Light Purple WTM (the flash making the color lighter than what I can see from the swatch, but can you see how pretty this is??? ) :![]() And here's a pic of the swatch which I took yesterday (matt light purple is on the LEFT, 2nd row). As you can see, it's really a gorgeous saturated purple (this turns out a bit more on the blue side though). Thought I'll show it against the pewter, so those of you familiar with pewter can get a better gauge of the Matt Light Purple. ![]() I have difficulty capturing the "purple-ness" of the swatch, but this gives a better idea, I hope. And the last pic shows it against my Balenciaga 2007 Violet, no red undertones to the Matt Light Purple! ![]() ![]() So who's game for one? 1. Peppy - WTM Midi, possibly gold hardware 2. 3. |

I know you said you definitely want the WTM - but have you noticed that there has been an effort to re - launch the LM light purple matte - 3 people have deposits down on that - just if you need confusing at all!!
Well done getting in on the pewter by the way. |

Are we trying to relaunch LM Light Purple Matt? hmm...would a WTM light purple and a LM light purple be too much?
..... .....oh dear, something just occurred to me, would having this WTM bespoke jeopardise the LM bespoke? Since no one has registered interest in this WTM bespoke yet, maybe we should close this first? |

Hi Peppy, yes we are giving the LM 2 more weeks, it is in the old thread. Jackie has said if we can get 6 people signed up and deposits placed, the group LM bespoke can go ahead. We already have 3 confirmed so ony 3 to go!

^^ yes, I see that in the old thread now, sorry ladies I didn't realise it. Maybe PMing those who had previously registered interest would help, cos not everyone will be checking the old thread since the last word was that the bespoke's a no-go.
As it didn't work out initially, I jumped onto the pewter LM bespoke, and so decided that the light purple matt would have to be a WTM for me, hence I started this thread. Again, apologies ladies!! |

I think that's really kind of you to think that a WTM bespoke might impact on the other - I think that really has come back alive through chance as three people happen to have deposits down anyway and it's always worth a try to get the group going. Good idea to PM the people previously interested - or just start a new thread.
It's so confusing with all these lovely bags - I keep having to double check with myself what it is I really want/need. I started with a WTM midi because when I first came across BE I was looking for messenger bag - I got one from stock in taupe because that way I knew I could send it back and it seemed a good neutral colour. I love this bag it is great - I need something a little roomier for some days so hence the LM (although I'm going backwards and forwards between regular and midi, but that's another story) and I fell for the purple matte. The pewter crash mini was something I was going to wait for but then couldn't resist the bespoke - this is my 'treat bag' just because everyone raves about the leather and it'll be great for nights out and summer days when there's not much to carry, then I have told myself I will stop as I am not good at changing my bags around. Charliefarlie - is this a concession to give us the reduction for just 6 orders? I was going to ask when I saw you had just put up the 6 numbers - that makes it tantalisingly possible!! I will email Jackie to postpone - but would really like my bag before I go away at the end of May. |

Let me know." Hence I have only put 6 places and we are half way there. I too want the bag quickly, hence only giving it 2 more weeks. I shall start a new thread now, sorry to keep hi-jacking yours Peppy! |

No worries about the "hijacking"
![]() I know I want a Matt Light Purple WTM midi, but I'm not in a rush to get it. I'm sure sooner or later, 7 ladies (gents are welcome too! ) with exquisite taste will come along and we can do this bespoke. So, as it stands now:1. Peppy - WTM Midi, possibly gold hardware 2. 3. |

Hi Peppy.
I'm pretty sure I would like to join this bespoke. I have a pewter LM coming which will be my first BE so want to see that before committing to another but I do adore the purple and the WTM style looks wonderful. Would also not be in a hurry (in fact would rather a little later to be sure of funds). So can I be added to the list please? 1. Peppy - WTM Midi, possibly gold hardware 2. Bluecat_00 - WTM Midi, silver hardware, light grey lining (90% sure) 3. |

You know, kids will be getting out of school for the summer soon. They'll be running around the house, getting into things, breaking the proverbial vases and the like. Their mothers will be thinking, "Oh, dear God, what can I do to find a measure of calmness? Is there ANYTHING in this world that will help me maintain my sanity until school starts up again in the fall?" And they will come here. Because what tired and harried woman can resist a new pocketbook? And it's the thrill of the whole process. It's the reading of all the threads, studying the BE website, reading the threads again, and finally choosing a bag that makes your heart skip so many beats that you think you might be sprawled on the floor in the next second. And then you write to Rose and you're excited nearly to death again when she answers. Then Jackie chimes in with her thoughts about your dream bag, and Rose gets a new idea so she adds it to the email string... And the world doesn't seem so large anymore, does it? London, Stockholm, the Tuscan Hills... They could all be right outside your window, really, because BE doesn't want to be a humongous corporation whose products are common and whose presidents and CEOs don't know you by name, who'd think you were crazy if you wrote to them and told them your uncle was in the hospital or your dog threw up in the car, or that you're writing to say hello because you feel all cheery and just plain FEEL like writing to say hello. The WTM is a truly splendid bag. And purple is the color of royalty. Women will feel like queens when they wear it. And you're such a nice lady to think about other people's bespokes. I hope you get a whole mess of folks to sign up for your purple WTM!! |

Moonfancy I love your above post - so poetic and so true
![]() "Because what tred and harried woman can resist a new pocketbook?" Ain't it the truth, sister! ![]() This purple is intense but not overwhelming...to me it's the perfect shade for spring, summer, and into autumn...and this particular style works so well for people who like to be hands-free. Beautiful and practical - sounds like a BE gal to me! |
