The bone leather is indeed very thick...but not too heavy at all!! This is my first TME and I am in LURVE with the comfy handles!!! It's such a breeze to carry...and I can only imagine what the leather's gonna do over the summer...

I think that I am gonna be naughty and use it all year round, though...I love white/ivory bags in winter!

PS: The purple lining is even BETTER in person...it took my breath away. You are gonna love your SPM!!!
