This is meant to be our chat thread...??Where the heck is everybody? Now I personally could talk the hind leg off a donkey but you'd all probably end up like this > or or , or maybe all three.

After saying all that, I don't know what to chat about!

The general themes for Chat threads on tpf seem to be:

  • babies (or small children)
  • being ill (or injured)
  • being fat (or on a diet)
  • gorging yourself on chocolate (particularly Cream Eggs) and cakes
  • babies (or small children) being ill/having accidents/problems at school
  • hating your job
  • getting engaged (and your ring)
  • what to wear for your wedding
  • sexy men.
I suggest you go for the cakes, chocolate and men as all the others bore me stiff.

Oh my goodness, you've caught me on the hop as I've only got a limited store of them on my computer at the minute, nevertheless I'm only too happy to oblige.

I've succumbed to a Being Human DVD for the sake of Mitchell the sexy vampire.

So what programme am I missing out on? But vampires really do freak me, I mean seriously. I've never quite recovered from Louis Jordan flapping up the castle wall in a BBC production of Dracula many years ago! Eeeeeek!

OMG......I almost lost my lunch laughing so hard on that one....I have NEVER heard that expression before!!!

OK...so going by Jenova's list, um....I think I have nothing interesting to talk about. Hey, anyone up for some random alcoholic fodder??? My DH and I are going to a Blue Festival this weekend and I am soooo looking forward to some good eating and drinking without my 2 LOs (34 mos and 9 mos). I LOVE margaritas but I think it will be mostly a beer and wine event!!!!

You better get yourself over here to Northern Ireland vixnkitten! I tell you, some of the expressions crack me up even now, and I'm a native!

Lucky you and DH getting away for a weekend! Have a fantastic time, but tell me, what is a Blue Festival? Are we talking Blues music here?

The only vampire who ever made me laugh was George Hamilton in "Love at First Bite". Campy but fun. Last week I watched "Secretary" with James Spader and Maggie Gyllenhal (or however her name is spelled..especially now that she married what his name...Sondergard or something..hyphenated the last name sounds like a country from the EU )...give a whole new meaning to boss secretary relationships.

Me..I wish I could throw caution to the winds and attend Burning Man or Bonaroo Music Festivals......you know..drink, party, wear a bikini top and jeans whooping to the fun sitting astride your boyfriend's shoulders, straw cowboy hat and all that..not to mention the music which still rocks my world. That's it ...I need me some Roisin Murphy now!

Now..if I could have me one of those men...above... bringing me chocos and drinkies while I bask in the sun hell..life would be good wouldn't it?

Anyone enjoy Dorothy Parker: Here's one of my faves:

I like to have a Martini
Two at the very most
After three I'm under the table
after four I'm under the host.

PS I don't mind him either..not one little bit.

CB-doh...Yes, a blues festival!!! We are going to go see a bunch of bands and I think the main ones we are interested in are Brian Setzer and Buckwheat Zydeco!! BB King is on Sunday but after Mother's day weekend, I can't handle being out of the house and active for 2 days!!!

Bring on those funky sayings...I don't think we have anything comparable here!!!

YAY for reviving our chat thread! This forum needs a little fun again. CB - Your problem with vampires is that you haven't read Twilight. I'm serious, it is a "must read" for anyone at any age. My mom is 76 and she is on the third book and loving it. Trust me, you will have a whole new appreciation for Vampires.

Suzi..I may be in the minority but I just couldn't get into the "Twilight" series. I did read the first one but that was it. I never saw the movie..(ducks for cover holding a silver cross, a stake, and a large sleeve of garlic cloves).

My daughters loved them. Me..I'm was hard core Anne Rice fan..at least her early ones although she lost me after a while..but "Interview with a Vampire" and "The Vampire Lestat"..not to mention Brad Pitt (meh..Tom Cruise never floated my boat)...
