Yeah, it is easy but expensive so we're skipping the test and proceeding as if I am gluten intolerant. I went gluten free once before, my hands and feet warmed up (they are always cold), I lost 30 pounds, my skin cleared up (I had trouble with adult acne then) and my meds dropped to lower doses. My mood improved too. I need to go gluten free and exercise as exercising is excellent for those with thyroid issues too. (exercise is excellent for us all!) It certainly can't hurt!

I'm glad you tested negative too!

It's different over here in the UK as under the NHS we don't have to pay directly (indirectly through high taxation though!)

Sounds as if going gluten-free has really helped though!

Wish I'd lost 30 lbs on it!

Exercise is a moot point for me at the minute - I think my poor old rowing machine is collecting dust, I really must get cracking (as my DH keeps reminding me...) .

hello ladies!

I had a lovely day yesterday at the movies - went to see The Fourth Kind and then got takeaway pizza and watched the last two episodes of Season 5 of Lost. I am full of theories now for Season 6!

Today, I have a rotten day ahead doing a 1,500 word essay for my latest course. Yuk!!

Did you like the fourth kind? I am just itching to see New Moon this week.

I had the best day yesterday. It was so good seeing old friends. I literally didn't get home till 4:00 am and am now feeling every bit of my age.

I have to get back on track with my healthy lifestyle. I fell off the wagon exercising because I did something nasty to my knee. I could barely drive my car for a week now! I haven't put any weight on, but I was right about gaining a ton of muscle. Now, the muscle is leaving and I feel like my body is turning to jello. I guess I will try and walk rather than run for a while.

Suzi, I am sorry you hurt your knee!! I love walking and I just love my MBTs http://uk.mbt.com/ they are so great for the weekend when I am doing my errands. They feel so bouncy and don't hurt your knees or back!

I did like the Fourth Kind because i love anything aliens related (i am absolutely obsessed with the x-files!) but it did have some problems with the plot i thought.
Nome, Alaska does look like an incredibly beautiful place and I would like to go there, I would risk being abducted by aliens to see the Northern Lights!

I can't wait to see New Moon either, but confess to being on Team Taylor

^^ I swear I buy 3 packages of them at a time... I eat at least 1 per day ..
they even taste good cold (pre-grilled of course)...

I am not joking at all when I say that those sausages are the ONLY reason I keep my sams club membership

Wow that's quite the endorsement! I am going to have to try these next time I am at Sams. Right now I just buy the normal Jennie O turkey sausages...

I have those sausages and they are great, but I am absolutely in love with Jenny O Turkey Burgers. I put a little steak dust on them and they are soooo yummy!

Pinkdiamond - I'm going to try your shoes!

So, I've gone gluten free all weekend and one thing I've noticed right away is no heart burn. I even avoided temptation! My dd made choc chip cookies but I made gluten free peanut butter cookies and stuck with those! The recipe is simple:

1 cup chunky peanut butter
1 cup sugar
1 large egg

Mix together, form balls and place on greased cookie sheet. Smash balls slightly with fork in criss-cross pattern. Bake 8 - 10 minutes in preheated 350* oven. Cool and enjoy!

I added chocolate chips to some of mine! It makes maybe 2 doz small cookies which I placed in a tin and put aside for myself. Yummy!
