Elizat, forget those toxic people. I'm so happy for you that you won't have to deal with them anymore?

I've heard about the drive to get that boy cards. I am SO bad about cards, but need to try to do that.

TG - Did you get your daughter the Coach?

^^^LOL Did NOT buy my daughter the Coach. It costs more than a made in Italy Belen Echandia! And it costs about the same as a laptop...so no. She's about to go to college, so we have to be careful about these kinds of purchases. If she saves up, she can spend $xxx on a handbag... Besides, she has a closet full of her Mother's BE's to raid. We put a big premium on saving money for travel. Experiences over things.

Because I'm a bit cynical (and I get so many similar emails that are just viral e-mails, sad as it is), I looked this up on Snopes.. and it is legitimate. (I kind of wish it wasn't true, it's so sad...)

also -- according to the Snopes page the family has since requested the cards now go to:

or -- the radio station is accepting his cards as well

Nothing wrong with being cynical, Katie. I've never heard of snopes. Thanks for looking it up.

I followed some of Katie's links and found a picture of him. I feel kind of bad for the family though. It looks like complete strangers are trying to visit and constantly waking the poor little guy up.

Thanks to everyone who is sending one out. How great to have one from England, Ireland and Mexico!

Suzi, I"m so sorry to hear about this little guy. I'm sending our card in the mail first thing in the morning.

Thanks for letting us know.

Suzi, so sorry to read about this little boy. I would so like to send a christmas card for him but I am stuck inside with my daughter having a fever. I am a bit worried that my card would not be there in time coming from so far away.

No worries, just take care of your daughter. I hope she doesn't have the piggy flu.

I checked the site and they already have had 10,000 cards! Wow! It's nice to know people still have a heart. Lately, I have just been tired of all the bad stuff and all the terrible people out there. I'm glad to see there is still some good left. Personally, I needed a boost to get me in the holiday spirit.

I asked my mom to send a card as well and she is doing so. I had to send her the Snopes link though, b/c she would not believe me even though I told her I checked it!

I started my new job today. Everyone was really nice and welcoming. I think it will be just fine.

That's great Elizat! I'm so glad you are feeling good on your first day. I hope you have many more like that.

I have just started considering looking for a new job. It's been ten years this month and this is the first time I have thought of it. It will be tough because my boss is a dear friend and I love all of my coworkers as well. In fact, I can't even imagine leaving since I love it all so much and truthfully I'm not very fond of change. But I think sometimes you have to make tough choices in order to grow. It makes me sad just thinking about it. As you can see, I haven't completely made up my mind, but once I do there will be no stopping me.

Elizat - Good Luck on your new job!

Suzi - I"m like you re change. I find that I will resist it initially but then later I'll ask why I waited SO long.

And Your very right about change being a great opportunity for growth. Even in the handbag world!

Lovebags, if you ever decide to change handbag designers it doesn't mean you can't still hang out here. You don't have to own BE to be here.

Aw, thanks SO much for saying that Suzi. You made my day!!

You knew that I was having mixed feelings about staying?

P.S. I get quite happy for everyone that enjoy's their BE's as I do too. It's just more under the accessory category but still it's BE joy and that's what counts!

Okay you don't have to persuade me. I"m staying! xoxo
