Very talented, yet very eccentric. I heard that nose was a prosthetic. What was he thinking? If it was fake, he should have chosen something a tad bit more normal. Well, that's okay. The talent more than made up for the weirdness. it was sad how he just kept telling everyone he loved them and how the stage dancers were crying just because they got the chance to work with him. I mean they were REALLY crying and that footage was before his death.

Elizat - Go for the walk. I would give anything to take a walk on the beach right now.

Hi Ladies,

Today I"m shopping for (I know you can usually count on me to be shopping for something on the day) a comfy/cozy pair of new winter slipper's. I think everyone here by now knows my personality to be hm.... Fussy! LOL And of course that rolls over into my slippers.

My daughter loves her Ugg's so I tried a pair last night and they didn't feel right for me. I"m thrilled though that my daughter loves hers. I've heard good things about Acorn's and might go try a pair of those. But, I"d love to hear if anyone has a great comfy/warm/fuzzy slipper to share. Oh and I do love cheetah! hehe The SA was laughing because she knows my taste to be on the conservative side when I inquired about a jacket that had a little cheetah fur. Heh, if it's done tasteful then I like it!

Have a great day all!

^ Good question lovebags, I need slippers too. I was thinking of the Uggs, but $100 is pretty steep for slippers.

I have the Ugg Dakota's on right now and I"m trying to decide that very same question. Are they worth it? My daughter is trying to convince me to keep so we match. I"m still trying to decide while I have the return option.

I once had a pair of Old Friend slipper's that were quite nice and around the 40 range. Those were slip on's and these are more a moc style. Which do I like better? Hm.....

UPDATE: Okay, I decided I'm going to order another pair of my old tried and true: Old Friend slipper's. They're great.

I have Uggs boots, but I do think $100 is quite a bit for slippers. I wish I could pick up the habit of wearing slippers. I just wear those little white sports socks around the house.

On another subject - Would anyone like to do a simple good deed for the holidays? A friend of a friend of a friend asked me to post this. I'm going to send one. Why not? If you are on Facebook, will you put it in your status too? Thanks.

This got to me, and I was wondering whether I should send a card or not. I'm in NI and I don't know how long it would take to get there. I don't want it to arrive at a bad time...

I think that would be quite a surprise to get a Christmas card from overseas. Can you imagine? I think he would be thrilled. When I write to people in England, it usually just takes a week or so I think.

^ I agree. I think he would think it was really neat that someone in another country wanted to send him a card.

Today was my last day at my job and I start the new one on Monday. 2 out of the 3 partners were sh*** to me. They did not even say good luck or goodbye to me. The one partner never even acknowledged I was leaving at all. I am annoyed, but I expected it. They treat everyone like crap, aside from the one partner that was sick today.

Seriously, when a co-worker was pregnant w/ her second child, one of them asked her why she would have another mistake, didn't she realize she wasn't doing very well balancing work and family and that it employees w/ kids were too much hassle. Another co-worker's mother died and one of them told her sarcastically that it was nice she graced them w/ her presence after she took a month off. When I found out my dad had cancer, the one boss overheard it and just looked at me like "who gives a damn", then walked away. There is so much else that is just as bad... it really was not a good work environment. I guess I'm a bit disappointed though in the rudeness.

YAY! I bet he will be thrilled.

Elizat - Life is too short to stay in an environment like that. Congratulations on the new job.

Suzi, will send a card from Mexico, when I get back home. (traveling now)

Elizat: Congratulations on leaving your bad job! This is wonderful news. The vibrations in that place were damaging to your soul. You will breathe easier now.

Ladies, quick note. I am in Cancun for the weekend, where my daughter is taking the SATs. They don't offer it in my city. So, I went to Luxury Avenue which is the top mall here, with LV, Cartier, Burberry, Fendi, etc. I was wearing my Root Pebbled Enchant Me. Let me tell you...!!! This bag just looked so amazing in luxury land --it looked more luxury than the "luxury" brands. It is the quality of the leather, the stitching on the handle, the shape, the tassles...I got so many looks in the shops when I was browsing. They knew they were dealing with a woman who knew her handbags... I am thrilled with BE quality. My daughter fell in love with a Coach bag, made in China, that cost more than my BE. Imagine. So, I continue to be thrilled with my BE world.
