I try to do the same thing, shopping early. But then I forget where I hide the gifts, LOL!

My DH and I "bought" back our children's Halloween candy (i.e., the "Halloween Fairy" came last night and gave them some money in exchange for most of their candy). However, I find myself eating some of that candy when I shouldn't.

lol! I don't decorate for the holidays and don't plan to start. It is too much of a hassle to get all the stuff down from the attic, set it up, then pack it away. I put a wreath on the front door and that is it. If I want to see lights and decorations, I can just go out to the stores!

I will put some lights outside the house if I feel like it b/c that doesn't take too long.

I'm pretty much done w/ my holiday shopping. I went yesterday night for my mom's side of the family b/c she is visiting in a few weeks. I have 2 giftcards I need to send closer to the holidays for my grandfather and a cousin I never see. I have my mom done for the most part, as well as my dad. I just need to get them each another item or so and also my brother, but he hasn't made a list yet.

I wish my mom's side would stop the adult gift exchange. It is a pain and nobody needs anything. I struggle to find things the like and then they complain it wasn't expensive enough, that the store is a pain to exchange at, etc. I feel like whatever I select, even a gift card, is not enough b/c they won't like the amount.

I wrap the gifts and swear I'll remember what's inside, to later put on the name tag...and invariably, I forget what it is and who it was for,and have to unwrap it!

I have some photos to share of the bathroom b/c one or two of you ladies wanted to see. I just have to do another coat of grout in a few spots. My dad came over to cut the tile for me and help me move the vanity in, along w/ working together to hook up the plumbing. I need to put some stuff on the walls, but am not sure what I want yet.

It is really hard to take photos in this bathroom b/c it is a rectangle with the door set walking in. So, kind of odd angles.

Before- particle board vanity, formica counter, lineoleum, ugly light, etc.

After- marble tile, wood furniture vanity w/ granite top, new towel bars, paint, mirror, lighting, etc. Everything out, but layout stayed the same.

I like the pink now. It is a soft pink, but pink. I think it works.

So, has anyone seen the new Michael Jackson movie? I went today with some friends and really liked it. It's mostly like a concert in case anyone is wondering. I'm not one to hang out and listen to MJ songs, but I love music and always found him to be a genius. The movie had me in awe of how talented he was. Such a loss...

I would love to see it, but I know my DH would never go for it. He hated MJ, thinks he's a perv/ child molester, and can't understand how I can listen to his music? I understand his point, but his music was a HUGE part of my childhood? I can still remember running home from school to see the world premiere of the "Thriller" video?

I second that! It's such a nice feeling to place a lot of effort forward into a project and then sit back and see the results. I"m not a huge fan of the actual process as it can be stressful and exhausting at times but I sure do LOVE the final product.

Well Done!

Suzi, sounds like you enjoyed a nice evening out with the girls! Which handbag did you wear? Often, I won't bring a bag into the movies or maybe just my Kiss Me to hold my cell.

I never believed the child molester stuff. I always thought the guy just wanted a childhood. Plus it was never proven, and I think you all are starting to get the picture on how I feel about conclusions without concrete evidence.

On another note, I purchased those Gunnar Peterson DVDs. I'll let everyone know if they worked for me. I am not my usual happy self at the moment. My ipod stopped working and I can't seem to get in a good work out without music. It wouldn't be that big of a deal, but my computer had crashed several weeks ago and I lost my itunes library. Terrible timing on all of it!

Lovebags - Just read your post. I usually change to a smaller bag as well but I went right after work. I was actually wearing that Prada Guaffre yesterday.

Thanks, all! I am glad it is pretty much done- have to do the little bit of grout still in some spots still today.

I'm off today and maybe tomorrow (took it, but may go in) and am waiting on my exact start date for my new job next week. The HR guy is out until tomorrow, so I hope to hear from him then as to when I start.

My mom seems to think I should go do "touristy" things today and tomorrow b/c I'm off. I live about 1.5 hours (a little less at times w/ traffic) from the beach and she thinks I should make the drive to just go take a walk... I think I made her angry by telling her I'm not driving over 2 hrs for a 30 minute walk. If I take tomorrow as planned, I may go to the zoo though.

I LOVE Michael Jackson. I thought This Is It is a brilliant movie, a real documentary about "performance" -- and all the rehearsal and attention to detail. I don't believe at all that MJ was a child molester. He was weird, but he did not molest children. I've watched every documentary, every interview on youtube...and it just doesn't add up. Especially if you read the Ian Halperin bio, just out, that shows how the families were trying to extort him. Poor man, such a talented guy and a tortured life.
