Once again the Tan Weekender saved me on a plane trip. I love that it fits under the seat because planes often run out of overhead space now. On my return trip, I had to fit the weekender and the I'm Yours Tote under my seat, and they both fit! I was traveling for fun/work. So had two days of casual clothes, and two work outfits in the weekender and a laptop in the I'm Yours Tote.

Ok the diet I have been on for thepast 4 weeks is called "cheat your way thin"
Basically you eat certain ways on certain days.. you have to eat 5 meals a day + a protein shake as the night time snack. There are 3 types of "days" on this diet: low carb, low GI, and high GI. low carb days For each meal you have to eat one protein + one fat. (so I would eat a piece of chicken + some walnuts or a lowfat chicken sausage + a cheese stick) etc. The options are endless. You can eat unlimited vegetables (there's a certain list .. not all vegetables are acceptable) Before bed you drink a protein shake You never really get hungry because you eat breakfast, AM snack, lunch, afternoon snack, and dinner + the protein shake before bed. Each meal is roughly the same size.. and I would eat a raw cucumber or red pepper as a snack if I did get hungry. low GI days For each meal you eat a protein + a fat + a low glycemic index carb (things like beans and fruits). I found that I didn't get hungry at all on the low GI days.... High GI days For each meal you eat a lean protein + high glycemic index carb (things like brown rice, pasta, whole wheat bread, etc). The difference here is you don't eat fat with your meal. It is a bit of a challenge because what's the point of eating a potato if you can't slather it with butter? I generally chose fruits, brown rice, and cous cous as my high GI carb + chicken, cottage cheese, or greek yogurt (fat free, plain) as my protein. The first phase is called "priming" and it lasts 3 weeks. Day 1 is a "cheat day" -- you eat whatever you want. It starts on a sunday. day 2-7 are Low Carb Day 8-14 alternate between Low Carb and Low GI Day 14-20 are all Low GI Day 21 is a CHEAT Day (yay!!) (should fall on a saturday) Then you move on to 'core' phase. Core is: sunday and monday = low carb tues and wednesday = low GI thurs and friday = high GI saturday = cheat day There are various plans you can do during core such as eliminating one of the high GI days and replacing it with low gi or low carb.. you are supposed to exercise (which I have not done yet.. BAD) and if you do you are supposed to lose about 2 pounds per week in core. For me I lost 13 pounds during the priming phase and 1.5 pounds in my first week of core. I know that if I exercised it would've been 2 pounds or more.. Anyway.. rambling on here. THe diet for me is easy so long as I PLAN PLAN PLAN ... I take lots of tupperware containers into work with all kinds of things and sometimes I will be grilling some chicken at 6am to bring to work but it has been worth it. The cheat day helps me stay on track.. when I had a craving for fish and chips I just planned to have it on my cheat day. Considerations: -- no alcohol at all during the diet.. on cheat days you can have a LITTLE bit. I've only had 1 glass of wine in the last 4 weeks (on the cheat day).. it's not that bad so long as I stay away from social situations. -- Caffeine -- they say it's a no no but I have had coffee every morning.. I need it..haha I do count the milk/cream that I add towards the fat count of my meal. -- protein shake -- it's fairly gross but by now I'm used to it. I mix it with 8oz of cold water and shake the hell out of it and hold my nose and chug. I bought eas 100% whey in vanilla from sams club. 23g protein per serving. I have tons of food suggestions and I have a pdf of the diet.. if anyone wants it.. pm me edit: actually it may be a few days before I can email anyone the pdf.. my dog chewed my laptop power supply and the file is on my laptop which now has a dead battery. But PM me and I'll send it once the power supply I ordered arrives... |

![]() I suppose this interval training could have it's advantages. I usually workout on my trainer for an hour and I'm thinking this will be more of a power workout requiring less time. I could love that! |

I just wanted to add that I am not doing a 20 minute workout. I'm doing the interval type training for at least 45 minutes. 20 minutes is for 20 year olds imo. It gets much more difficult as the years progress, and we have to work a bit harder to lose much less! ![]() I'm kind of sad because I haven't worked out in two days. I have had this crazy fever that's been kicking my rear end. I absolutely had to work because I was leaving for vacation, but I have been unable to do anything else but sleep and play on the computer. So, I am going to be totally unprepared. Hopefully, I get over this so I don't infect the airplane and cruise ship. I kind of feel like typhoid Mary at the moment!

I'm going for 30-45 minutes daily instead of an hour a few times per week. I want to give that approach a try instead. I think that should get the job done. I hope! I'm starting today. Wish me luck..... |

My tan has held up really well. It got rained on and the leather was completely wet last week, but looks fine now. I did condition with Lovin My Bags first and then spray it. The corners do get dirty and a dark color, but cleaner takes out some of darkening.

Plus, I've spoken to a few lovely PF members that also have the tan set and speak very highly of. I"m convinced! I can't wait to receive it now. Aah, the wait. Not my favorite part. |

*suzi*.... I DID IT!!! I did 10 min..this was all my poor , lazy body could take! OMG..my legs are hurting..and I was huffing and puffing like a pig/ wild boar..so my doggies almost took me as prey..lol..but not a drop of sweat..hm..
So I guess I must wait a day..and then try again..BUT never will I be able to do 45 min..no way! finzup...thanks so much for the file..I'm starting already tomorrow, allthough it is a bit confusing with low carbs etc., but I'm convinced I'll *get* it..eventually.. Perhaps I should arrange some kind of ticker to follow my progress..and at two months time ..perhaps I can pose with a bag or two.. ![]() lovebags..what about you??? |

I just feel very chic when we enter our hotel and organized. LOVE that feeling! You should see me. The minute I book a trip I race to my closet to grab my weekender and overnighter. I'd wear these as my handbags if I could. LOL |

YAY Bonnie!
Any amount of minutes you are doing will make a big difference. I am absolutely convinced you can't lose weight without exercise. Plus, you get the added benefit of feeling great.I still have my crazy flu. My fingers are crossed that I wake up healthy for my trip. I can't wait to hear how the new diet and interval training goes. I'm packing healthy snacks so I don't go too crazy with the cruise food. |
