Suzi - Don't get discouraged. Sometimes the weight loss stops for a few weeks. Just keep up the good work and you will get your gorgeous pewter bag!

I should try to loose a couple of kilos before returning to work in September. I lost 10 kilos (22 pounds) in the spring and took a pause from dieting during summer. I have not gained any weight during summer so now I have only a couple of kilos to my pre-pregnancy weight... Have to fit in my old work clothes so there should be enough motivation there.

Msterling - It does feel great to be healthy, doesn't it? I think skating would be so much fun as an exercise. Oh, and thank u for being patient.

Hedwig - You need to tell me how you lost 22 pounds. That's really a lot of weight. Congratulations!

Don't tell me you went to the Ohio State fair??

My brother just gave me the update...OMG they have so many good treats there. Must say I was shocked that they had metal detectors at the gates, though.

I will say that I have at least worked out every day, so the scale may have suffered a setback but my clothes are fitting better.

Ms. Liz - Actually, this weekend it was the Dublin Irish Festival. Have you been to that one? I try not to miss it. The fair is still going on all week. Ya know, Circleville Pumpkin Show is just a few months away. Can you believe it? Will you be going this year?

On another note, has anyone read The Time Travelers Wife? I want to see the movie, but I was going to try and read the book first if it's worth the time.

No...never went to that one Suzi...I'll have to check it out.

Hoping to make it to the Circleville Pumpkin show again this year. Something about eating pumpkin ice cream in 40 degree weather...LOL

Hey KatieFinz....you around somewhere??? I heard back from Jackie and she says that she is able to get the frames for the kisslock clutch and that they could even stamp a message inside!!!! She LOVES the name Marry Me!

She asked that I see if there is any interest in following through with this and designing it together as a group!!!!

Anyone??? Bueller???

I love the sound of a 'Marry Me' even though I'm married!

Anyway, I had the worst sleep ever last night - I was tossing and turning and couldn't get to sleep until 2.30am (and even then it was filled with weird dreams and was very restless). When I spoke to my father on the phone this morning he said that my mother had gone back to bed because she had a terrible nights sleep too! And then he said, rather darkly I thought, that it had been a full moon last night....

So what I want to know is did anybody else have a terrible nights sleep last night, and is there anything in this 'full moon' business??!!

CB-interesting. I didn't have a bad dream but I worked in the ER for a very long time and there are some rather strange happenings during full moons!!! Did anyone happen to have any werewolf sightings???

For any of you ladies who like fiction, have you read anything by Sarah Bird? She is a great Southern satarist here in Texas (although she's a bestseller nationwide). I loved The Yokota Officer's Club (being a military brat helps me relate to the story) and I'm waiting to download How Perfect is That? onto my Kindle. Right now I'm reading Self Reliance by Ralph Waldo Emerson and the Dalai Lama's The Universe in a Single Atom.

I tend to read several things at once and kind of jump around. Anyone else do this or are you more linear with your reading?

Hi vixnkitten -- potentially
It all depends on the costs... I don't necessarily need the kiss lock esp since didn't Jackie say that they are prone to breaking?
I really appreciate your following up on this!!

Tjas, I'm a lot like you in my reading habits. I usually have 3 books on average next to my bed or the sofa. I'll read something fiction, then put it down after a chapter or two and pick up a non-fiction book, put that down, switch it all around! I read fast, so I get through the books quite quickly. My DH can't understand how I don't get confused or foreget what I've read, but I've always been this way. Thanks for the suggestion, I'll check out Sarah Bird!

I don't know how you all read three books at a time. I am always muti-tasking, but when it comes to reading I tend to get lost in a book.

As for the moon, I totally believe that strange things happen during a full moon. It seems like all the crazies come out. I even noticed that I have been really restless this week! Last night, the moon was huge and orange. Love watching it when it's full like that. No werewolf sightings.

There are times when I will get totally gripped by a book to the detriment of the others, e.g. I started Shantaram and only stopped reading at night when my eyes just wouldn't stay open.
