I'll put up pics of the shoes on the non-BE purchase thread. I like the sound of your summery flip flops!
OMG! The back burner 'Me Cheeta' is on the longlist for the Man Booker Prize! Fantastic!! LOL!

I figured for sure that someone's dog would swallow a rib bone from the festival and need to have surgery.

I love the sound of a Ribfest! Nyum!

I know what you mean, suzi! I guess it's good that my limited leather sale MMS won't be shipping out til Sept or Oct with the workshop being away for a period in August! More time to work off all those bad foods I'll be enjoying.

I tried to find out, but I could not get the "cat out of the bag". I do know pewter will be available and there are new styles, but that is it!

I asked Jackie about what colours would be available for AW and her reply was:

For AW we do have lots of lovely colours ranging from a colour called "root"
(dark brown) in the lightweight pebbled as well as dark purple, port wine, navy and cream. We also have some matte mandarin, pewter crash, black crash (new updated softer version) and navy glossy.

I can't wait to see the new styles but I probably shouldn't look at the website until I've paid for the 3 bags I have on order. Did I type 3 bags??? AAGH, how could I have been so WEAK? I've never bought this many bags...EVER. I feel sick.

I had to google 'funnel cakes'! And all I'm saying is 'step away from the funnel cakes ladies, one whiff of them alone looks likely to pack on the pounds!!' (That said, I really think I ought to try them, International relations and all that....!!)

CB - That's so funny. I just assumed you guys had them. I suppose only in America could u get the equivalent of a plate sized hot and greasy powdered donut (and you wonder why we are all on diets).

Well, I have to say my quest for my pewter bag is not going all that well. I have lost a whole size in clothing but that scale is not moving. I'm sure all of my muscles are coming back quickly because I have been an absolute exercise nut, so that part is good. However, I want my pewter bag!

Suzi, perhaps you should change your goal from reaching a certain weight to attaining a certain size? Even though your weight hasn't changed, it sounds like you're losing fat and increasing muscle mass. I don't think you should focus too much on the numbers on the scale. If you've dropped down a clothes size, then you're doing something right!

You are right, but it would be so hard to measure just by my clothes. I guess I should just feel good that all of my favorite clothes are starting to fit again. I know I'll get the WTM eventually. The really sad thing is I have two more amazing bags to "earn" after that and I am dying because I'll never get them at this rate. I told DH that he has to sell them and give the money to charity if I don't get them by Christmas!

I just changed the name of the thread. This chat thread is always dead. Maybe Belenistas are just too busy to chat.

Don't get discouraged! Working down a size is a great accomplishment.

I've found that what I see on the scale doesn't always reflect what I'm doing in terms of eating and exercising. In July, I skated 261 miles and my weight is the same as it was in January when I sat on my butt all month. I don't change my eating habits much during the year, so that doesn't explain it. However, I know I'm getting benefits from skating in terms of overall health and getting more definition in my body. I also know I'm at a healthy weight right now and I swear that my body knows it and keeps me from losing weight that I shouldn't lose.

Keep up the good work, Suzi! We are patiently waiting to see your pewter bag.
