CB, that is construction. referring to your home economics post. You are a designer, an artiste!! You have vision, and another talented person can do the zippers.
I really wish I'd met more people with your kind of attitude Euridice!!

I have just read 'The Shadow of the Wind' by Carlos Ruiz Zafon and I thought it was one of the best books I have read for ages. I was a bit unsure after 100 pages in but OMG, I got totally hooked! Beautifully written (I've decided!) and some wonderful characters that he's pulled from a variety of literary genres and periods. I adored it. I want more.

I'll be away for a little bit. Wish I could say it was a holiday, but it's more a call of duty tbh.

Will be bringing my choc matte Take Me Away Mini (Overnighter) and my fairly new taupe acquisition with me.

Also bringing the book Jonathan Strange and Mr. Norrell, all 1006 pages of it. I sincerely hope I have the opportunity to read it whilst away.

Hope all you ladies across the Atlantic have had a fantastic 4th July break!

"I'll be back...."

Well, I'm sorry you have to go. I hope all is all right, or at least will be all right. Have a safe trip, CB.

Carrying it around will certainly help to keep you fit.

Have you discussed this with Jackie, CFB? I remember when I was little I used to get my mother to sew me little pouches. They all had to have velvet ribbon drawstring closures. I loved those little things. Gosh, now I want some BE pouches too!! You know, for traveling a little pouch would be great for jewelry. Or even medicine. All the things you don't dare to pack in your checked luggage.

I love that book.I read last summer and my kids were neglected for the few days I read it..I couldn't put it down. The author has a new book coming out , I think it is called Angel Mist...I am looking forward to more books from him..

Quickly calling in....

No they're not a series. The one I really liked was 'The Amber Room' but I've only read 2 so far...

How did I miss all this book talk? I love reading! And Steve Berry is a particular favorite. He does have a series, Cotton Malone. I think it's 4 books so far: The Templar Legacy, The Alexandria Link, The Venetian Betrayal, The Charlemagne Pursuit. He has 3 non series books I've also read, The Amber Room, The Romanov Prophecy, The Third Secret.

I have been in Hilton Head all week and it keeps raining! It hasn't been horrible because we are with friends, and of course there is always shopping, eating and drinking to occupy our time! Speaking of that, I am fairly sure I will have doubled in size by the time I get back. Hmmm, I wonder if I will need a bigger bag for proportion. Maybe a Maxi Hold me!

Anywhoo, I am very excited to leave you all because I think I see a glimpse of sun peaking out. Beach time!!!!!! I'm going to need a tan to disguise all of the eating I have done!

Have just come back from my little jaunt, book still unread though! It was a fairly uneventful trip, but I did manage to buy 3 pairs of shoes....! Hooray!
