Our siamese cat's blue eyes glow red too when excited or mad! We know to leave him alone when his eyes start to glow red! LOL!

My DS is finishing his Primary School at the end of this month and will be going to big school come September (he's 11, and this is how it usually works in the UK). Anyway, his year were all asked to write a short essay called 'In my school' about the time that they spent in Primary School.

This is the last paragraph of what DS wrote and it made me feel so that I'd thought I'd share.

"Next year I will be in a new school and I wonder if the teachers will be as nice. Obviously the work will be a lot harder but I hope the teachers are nice because I want them to teach me as much as the teachers of _____ Primary have. I will really enjoy my next school but in the same way I will miss this school too and I will try and visit as often as I can."

I know I'm his mother, but I thought it was so sweet and mature (and also really pleased that he's full-on for learning, and his English wasn't half-bad either!) LOL!

I don't want anybody to feel that they have to reply to this, I just wanted to post it anyway.
Of course you must post this, this is wonderful and you must be so proud!!

my cats' eyes glow red when I take pics with flash....the pics so look like they are posessed! but uh, they don't do that naturally, hmmm.

CB, you should def try the Apple store in Belfast, the people in the Apple stores usually seem really nice and patient and cool. I swear by Apple although I use this horrible heavy Dell PC laptop from work these days. Ugh! My brother and I got my mom this cute, thin, adorable macbook....don't remember if it was an ibook but it was cute and small and awesome, just perfect for what all she wants to do, mostly web surfing.

Thanks Euridice! Being his mother I'm a bit biased though!

I'm going to get my computer detective hat on and get looking ... as long as I don't get waylaid into any other virtual or real shops on route! There's just so many other pretty things I'd rather be buying!

It's not only the bags, it's that lovely beauty hall in The House of Fraser that's a den of temptation, especially as it stocks Sisley skincare and makeup which I'm rather partial to....

This computer business is going to come to a head sooner than I would like. My laptop has been acting up since late yesterday afternoon and I have now abandoned it and taken over DHs instead. This one is fast and works but still has its problems, mainly due to DH having spilled a whole glass of Prosecco over the inbuilt keyboard 2 weeks after he got it. We are talking sticky keys here people, very sticky indeed! Mind you, it's amazing it works at all!

I think I will soon be obliged to abandon my little Vaio for the big desktop laptop upstairs. My problems embrace - near dead battery, sticky keyboard and suddenly turning off for no apparent reason at all. I think the latter is going to prove to be deadly sooner or later.

Well just so long as you don't have to remove and reinstall your firewall and virus protection which tends to cause a lot of havoc.

I find the most frightening thing to do is to remove and reinstall your operating system. I had to do that 3 x with a new laptop before they would take it back (and swop it for another faulty one and then another bad one after that too).

Hopefully my laptop curse is a thing of the past. The faulty one went back to Mama and was replaced by one that still lives on in the hands of a friend.

The battery on this little thing has had a lot of use so I am not surprised it is ill. I have a bit of a computer buying spree 2 years ago so actually have 2 perfectly good back-ups.
