Wink Talk to me about the Whisper To Me...
Hello, fReNdz I need your expert advice again!

I'm not one to covet and/or buy one bag after another, but after getting my HM I've been lusting after a couple other BE bags. I'd love an IB, CM, or MMS, but I think those will have to wait kuz I'm loving the WTM Midi.

I'm torn about leather/color because there are so many choices I like. Yet, with the exception of Aubergine, Pewter and Choco Crash, I don't know if this bag comes/came in any of the other colors I like:
  • Glossy/Sheen Dark Chocolate
  • Milk Chocolate Pebbled Luxe
  • Root PL
  • Sheen Aubergine
  • Pewter Crash
  • Choco Crash
-- Does the WTM Midi come in choco or root Pebbled Luxe leather? If not, which of the three browns would you use if you were creating your own bag? I saw a "Chocolate Sheen" WTM Midi in the Ref Library, but it has gold HW and I like silver. (I think brown would look great with purple lining...)

-- Which of the leathers/colors above do you think is better for this particular bag?

Sorry if some of these are dumb questions, but, as most of you know, I'm a BE newbie and still trying to figure this out.

TIA!

I have two WTM Midi's and they are a great bag! I currently own them both in matte leathers which work very well for this style. I did have two earlier that were in Sheen leathers. I did find with those that the corners appeared lighter (where the circles are .. maybe because the leather was stretched more?) and because of that, in the future I wouldn't choose that type of leather for this bag. I think it would be awesome in a pebbled leather as well! Or even the Pewter.

If I were to use one of those three browns, I think I may go for the Root (I just love the pictures I've seen of the Root).

Nice choise! I am a great user of the WTM..allthough I had a break a long time this year, I started to use them again lately.

I have in the matte, crash, sheen and the pebbled leahers, and I would say any type will suit this model.

BUT should I chose a brown it would be either a matte or a pebbled, I think they'll be nice and hardy!

I think this style would look lovely in port! Or even root.

Then again it really does look pretty in pewter crash. Hm... Tough choices. Good luck!

For a "brown-brown" I would choose root or dark chocolate pebbled.. the milk chocolate pebbled is pretty light...
I love brown with light blue.. so I'd do the light blue lining.. and silver hw :)

I love the light blue lining, too--it's strikingly beautiful.
I think Port is a gorgeous color but a bit too red for me.

I would love to customize the bag, but as of right now I can't afford that, so
if the WTM midi doesn't come in any of the browns I like with silver HW, I will
have to choose between the Aubergine, Choco Crash and Pewter. I like the
Aubergine kuz I like the look of the sheen leather and think the dark purple
shade is more versatile than regular purple. When it comes to the crash ones,
I like that the colors are neutral, but I have a very casual style--never dress
up--and wonder if that's too much bling for me.

Of all the leathers you listed, I would go with either pewter crash or root pebbled. They are totally two different looks though, depending on your need.

I have a WTM Midi in petrol pebbled that I'd been using the past few days and am loving it.

karmenzsofia - I can't give an opinion as to the style, but I will chime in on the colour deliberation ...
It's hard to believe, but IRL the crash leathers are quite non-blingy ... and of the Choco Crash and the Pewter Crash, I would have to say Choco Crash is very, very subtle, barey metallic. The shine really doesn't come out except under full sun, otherwise it Choco Crash just looks like a very interesting dark brown, it all its highlights and shading. Pewter is very neutral, too ... but not as subtle as Choco Crash owing to it being a lighter colour, if that makes any sense. would a picture of both colours side-by-side help?

Hi Karmensofia

I've only recently started to like this style and so don't own one yet. I only have an Angle Purse in Pewter crash. I deliberately bought something small to test out the leather because like you I thought it might be too blingy.
I think the Pewter is beautiful, the leather isn't as silver as Mottled Silver and it takes on a slightly different hue depending on what you are wearing or what you place it next to, e.g. if I put it next to something brown, it takes on a bronze-ish cast, put it next to grey and it looks more silver. Everyone who has it says it calms down with a few wears and this I have found is true.

I have a deep and abiding love for Aubergine, so if you are going to buy a stock bag, I'd go for that. It can look almost black indoors in dim light and in bright sun it is purple but not as light as the dark purple glossy. I think that leather suits this style, would go easily with a casual outfit or dress up a plain outfit - you can't go wrong!

Thanks VanBod. I've always liked Pewter and almost got a HM in that color until I saw the Dark Grey Glossy. I've noticed what you explain--how it reflects whatever color is around it--and I like that. Then I saw the choco crash and wondered if in person it looks like a Pewter reflecting a dark color, a metallic bronze, or a metallic brown. Yikes!

ETA: That's what I've been thinking about the Aubergine, based on the photos I've seen. I like that's it's that dark, so it's a bit more neutral. I think it's a fabulous color.

I have a WTM in aubergine on order because I adore the abergine leather! So, if you want an in stock WTM Midi, I'd go with either aubergine or pewter as quite a few ladies love pewter. There is also a mottled gold WTM Midi on bonanzle that is gorgeous and if I didn't own the TME already, I'd be after it! It's beautiful in mottled gold!

Thanks for the info, bluefish! I think I saw a photo them side by side somewhere around here (can't find it now...), though I think it was taken outside under direct sunlight or with flash, so they both looked very shiny. But I'm not sure...I thought I had saved it somewhere. Do you know the one I'm talking about?

Wow, they're both fantabulous! And that blue lining...

Looks like most of the choco crash pictures I've seen have been taken with flash, so it looks much shinnier. Thanks so much for posting these here, bluefish. They definitely help
