CB,

Don't let your assets deter you from wearing a bag messenger style! I love wearing messenger style bags--it's such a great option, and I don't think my top half keeps me from wearing it this way. Give it a shot. You can also wear the strap a bit higher so it doesn't cut you in half, if that makes sense...

Thanks for the encouragement . I do like the idea of being hands free sometimes! Good point about an adjustable strap....

I do love the look of the extra rings...
I have the same fear because of my own assets...

I only have the wtm midis that I love and one mms midi which was my first bag. Other than that I have sold all others because they just didn't work for me. Mulberry now, that is something I would love. to get in the future but I have too many gucci's that I should probably get rid of.

I may not have as much "assets" as some people here, but I am a solid D and I seem to be fine with the messenger strap. You just have to position everything just right.

*suzi* is right...it's all about positioning. I'm a D too, and I've found that I can wear the WTM Midi quite comfortably messenger-style if I put the bag toward the front of my body instead of in the back like boys do.

I'm a good DDD/ E depending on the brand, and I love using a bag messenger style! But I keep the strap above my 'goodies', and this works fine Or I carry the bag low down on my hips..then the dividing is not that obvious..or so I think..lol

I looked up the definition for "outgrown" in the Merriam-Webster online dictionary, and it says:

Main Entry: out·grow
Pronunciation: \ˌau̇t-ˈgrō\
Function: transitive verb
Inflected Form(s): out·grew \-ˈgrü\; out·grown \-ˈgrōn\; out·grow·ing
Date: 1594

1 : to grow or increase faster than <mankind is outgrowing food supplies — R. C. Murphy>
2 : to grow too large or too mature for <outgrew his best suit> <the need to outgrow the habit of war — Norman Cousins>

So indeed it appears that I have outgrown my messenger bags, lol. I guess saying "grown away" lessens the implications of being too huge for your bags...Though I don't really like to say I'm too mature to use any style from any designer either.

I, too agree with Suzi and Jenova and with my more recognizable bags like Chanel, Balenciaga I feel like under the spotlight especially when I was at the office. That's why I love BE and BV because they impress with leather and craftmenship rather than with a logo. BE is my "under the radar bag"
My wallet is a LV zipp around because it's indestructible but the monogram makes be a bit uneasy so I'm waiting anxiously for the BE wallets for something more understated.

Personally I simply didn't feel I was a 'wannabe' wearing my now downridden monogrammed bags....lol....They have been extremely suitable to stash all by stuff while traveling and also been ever so hardwearing..they have been almost everywhere with me..through jungles and cities, by train and by boat etc., but they are retired and exchanged with the travel sets from BE.
Though not as large as my 'wannabe' sets, these are great for either short trips or going by car..

I've outgrown just about everything, but there's one style in particular that I was married to for yeeeears that I've abandoned--for now (until the cycle of life brings it back): the Tote.

My signature bag was a E/W tote in black or very dark brown with a zip compartment in the middle dividing the bag into three sections, a flap pocket and zip pocket outside, zip pocket inside and straps long enough to wear comfortably on the shoulder. I would buy one of these totes at a department store and use it every day for a year or however long I could before the stitching came loose somewhere and the corners got too scuffed. Then I would replace that one with a similar one (never the same one) and use it until I had to replace it. None except one were by a major designer brand.

Boy, times have changed...I can't believe I'm paying ten times (or more) what I used to pay for a bag...it's sooo not like me!
