i still haven't decided.. I'm so busy it's just sitting in it's box on my kitchen table ... I am planning on e-mailing Jackie to see what my options are...
I don't mind the wax leather itself if it really was apple green. It's more kelly green. AND there's the issue of that zipper..... I'll keep everyone posted :) |

I personally love green, and love a pop of color, but I totally agree with you about the zipper.... That would bother me too. And the lighter corners would bother me as well.

I am glad, because when I just read this thread I couldn't believe how horrible the zipper looked. It looked cheap IMO, like a vinyl bag. Ugh. LOL now I can tell you my real opinion and not worry about hurt feelings! Whomever chose that zipper must have been colorblind! |

I'm very glad things worked our for you Finzip. The zipper did ruin it, and the color was so very different from both of the previous apple green leathers. I'm sure you will choose something beautiful with your credit!

I'm glad about the outcome and I would have hoped the same if it had been my bag. A pity because it was a lovely in every respect other than the zip .

That is good news! It is always a gamble buying a bag you have not seen IRL, but the zipper was a deal breaker. I don't even think you would be able to resell on an auction site with that color contrast and how it cheapened the look of an otherwise beautiful bag. I liked the green color of the leather but that is a matter of personal opinion.
Going off topic just a tad, I wish BE would change their return policy for sale items. Where almost probably 98% of their buyers are purchasing site unseen, it makes good busines sense. I like the idea of a "store credit" for sale returns if they do not want to refund. I think they would gain more customers as people would be more willing to take a risk and purchase a BE bag if they knew they could return if not happy. In the end, I think they would actually profit from this. I understand not being able to return the couture, but even a 14 day return for credit on an unused stock sale bag would be something. |
