Default Reveal: Petrol Matte WTM Midi
So to complete my matte leather collection (I that matte leather!), I just received in my Petrol Matte WTM Midi. I actually ordered this before I'd even seen any swatches online, so I'm happy that it has surpassed my expectations.

This is a really nice medium toned blue with a slight green undertone ... it nearly has a tinge of teal to it. VERY pretty. The leather is very soft and supple ... reminds me a bit of the purple mattes I love so much. They just have this feel to them ... so rich feeling! The leather seems to have a bit more variation in it (tones) as compared to the purple or grey mattes. I think the little bit of variation makes the colour even more pretty. It's just really gorgeous out in full sunlight.

So now for some photos! These were all taken in natural light. On my monitor, I think the colour of the blue is most true to the photo with the lining.

Oh wow....now I am so undecided! Is it just my screen, or does it have a lot less green in it than the petrol sheen? I love the color of your WTM, it is beautiful (the third photo, despite not true to life, is a beautiful shade also lol).

Moonstarr, another lovely BE! I would probably have difficulty getting ready in the mornings if I lived in your closet. How about a photo beside its other matte siblings?

This is actually a fairly true to life (on my monitor) picture (showing it with the tags from all my bags). I think all the colours seem fairly accurate here. Petrol Matte is 5th from the right. This shot was taken in natural light.

Edited to add: I think all the mattes has this pretty very slight sheen to them, with the exception of the Apple Green and Tan. You can see it in the picture .. it's just really a pretty finish. The Petrol Matte is just like that as well.

If you check out the thread "BE Bag Art" there are some photos of just the matte bags. :)

I've never seen Petrol Sheen in person, but from photos I THINK the Petrol Matte may have a little less green in it. Maybe someone who has one though can comment after seeing my photos.

Wow - that is one gorgeous bag! I was not at all interested in petrol matte before, but now I think it's a necessity. The color variations are just lovely...like a deep blue ocean. I imagine that it would look utterly fabulous with dark denim!

LOVE the pic of your tags too. You have quite a rainbow collection!
