I think the plain version would look much more attractive in a matte leather.

Jenova, dark purple matte on the plain one would be lovely! I have dpm on the brain still!

Hi Ladies,

Jackie just mentioned that the stitching is what makes the bag look SO expensive and luxurious. Hm.... This is something to consider!

I was just checking out the 360 view on the website ... so the stitching is in the front and the back doesn't have the stitching ... I really like the bag so far. And I like the outer pockets ... wonder if it's two big outer pockets or four? Oh, looks like it would be 4 separate pockets!

These are the dimensions online:

H: 21cm/8.5"(when slouchy and w/o strap)

W: 37 cm/14.5"

D 5.5cm/2.2"

Maximum Strap drop: 33cm/13"

Is it really 8.5" high when slouchy and 2.2" wide? That seems low and narrow. I like the width though. I'd love to see a modeling shot of this bag.

I have to be frank and say that I think quite the opposite.

PS - I am not mad on the double top stitching on the plain version either though.

I love the leather, love the color, love the braided handle, love the braiding across the top of the pockets ..... BUT not down the sides and bottom of the pockets. So if I'd were to custom one, I'd ask for braiding across the top only.

Did anyone notice the changes to the BE tag? Love the fact that attention was given to the BE tag, but I actually don't like the little detail braiding and how it's attached to the bag. Much prefer the old BE tag.

Hi Jenova,

Yes, I value your opinion. I was only passing along information to share. Please do keep in mind that sometimes pictures aren't accurate in showing off the bag's beauty? I should know that firsthand as I wasn't fond over the HM or WTM based on pictures and now look at me!

Personally, I haven't made a decision on the hobo. I need more time to just sit back and enjoy everyone else make this purchase and post reviews, pics etc...

I'm glad for those that will be the first to try this bag and test it for all of us here!

Which part of the bag makes it a TPF limited edition exclusive actually? Is it combination of the stitching AND the dark purple cervo leather?

I would prefer to see very precisely applied lines of fine piping instead of either the leather 'stitching' or the two lines of top stitching. I think that would create a similar effect and look much more 'expensive'.

Yes, I totally agree with you. I am glad we can be honest with our reactions here without a whiplash.

I don't know of any expensive bag with stitching like this. It reminds me of the hand-sewn purses and things made out of paper that you made as a kid with this type of stitching.

Without the stitching it reminds me of a more elegant and refined botkier trigger without the zippers. I also am not sure of the double stitching spots.

Lionlaw what you say here is just it - in my opinion - the stitching does cheapen it somehow. The navy version is much more grown up - and I think in a matte leather it would be very sophisticated.

Love the color, leather, and not so much the style. I'm not a fan of the tassles either. Nice, but I am not blown away.
