My BE Athens Trip Report
Just got back from Athens this morning - was there since Saturday on business. The weather was beautiful: Warm and sunny - a real change from the weather we've been having in Denver, Colorado.
I brought along my I'm Yours in Light Grey Shimmer for work hours and my LMM Black Crash for running around and evenings. My LMM and I took in some history and culture at the Acropolis and the History Museum and rounded out the trip with a couple of lovely dinners out. I'd recommend Athens for a short intermediate stay before heading onwards to where the real beauty is - the outlying Greek Islands! Here's my LMM at the Parthenon - Enjoy! |

WOW; Awesome Bali_Girl!!! I'm going to start a BE trip thread -- will you post there as well??? So glad you had a great time -- that is a great photo!! The colors...wow! I've been to Greece and the Greek islands as well -- did you get out to them?? aren't they amazing?

Hi Contessa,
I did just send the pic to Jackie - She had told me a story about a garden gnome that had disappeared from someone's garden, only to surface in pics and postcards the owners subsequently received from all sorts of places around the world !! I thought that was funny and decided with all the travel I do, it would be fun to start taking pics of my BE's everywhere I go (LOL!!) Greece was good - The only downside for me was that they allow smoking everywhere - I had forgotten what that was like!! Everything was pretty expensive too relative to the USD$. My BE's were perfect for the trip. They are some sexy, classy bags!!!

Bali - I looooove your picture! I was in Athens, Rhodes & Crete about eight years ago. Your picture brought back such great memories. It also made me want another LMM!

That is so cool!! Thank you for sharing your pic, it is a beautiful one too! I was in Spain in October but that was before my first BE. I can't wait to go somewhere else to take some pics of my BE. Hubby has to go to Germany in a few months maybe I can get him to take my BE and take pics of it! LOL He will definitely think I have gone in sane then! Oh but better yet maybe I can convince him to take me as well and then I can take a pic of my BE in Germany!!

Audball, MK78 - thanks - I wish it was vacation, but it was for business so I didn't get a chance to see as much of the area as I would have liked!
Cornflower - I am afraid I did start something! Everyone needs to start posting pics of their travels and of course, their BE's! Tash - saw your post of your BE in Geneva - lovely! I would love to go to Switzerland some time! Suzy - Some of my friends from work were going from Athens to Crete for a few days. I can't wait to hear their stories and see their pics. Karenina - Now that you have your BE you need to go with hubby to Germany and take pics fir us tPF girls!! I think that's a good reason to go don't you?? (LOL)!! |
