Default Messenger Strap Question..... Plus
How do you pronounce the name? I feel silly asking, and not sure if the pronunciation can be explained through text, BUT, I carried my (new to me) Plum Crash TME and immediately received a compliment and I was stammering on how to pronounce the name! Ha ha on me.

Also, it came with a messenger strap (picture below), but I notice in some postings there are adjustable straps on some of your bags. I can contact the BE website, but you guys are such a wealth of information, I thought I would check here first! I noticed someone else posted about getting a longer strap for her Plum Crash WTM and was told they were out of stock, so purchasing an additional strap may not be an option at all.

Thanks in advance and it's been so much fun learning about this gorgeous handbag line from you lovely ladies!!

The bag looks great on you! I do think they are out of the plum crash so if you needed another messenger strap I think you could easily go with black crash or even pewter.

belen echandia is pronounced - be LEN e CHAN dee ya

Caps for the syllable with emphasis
soft 'e' on the be part of belen
hard 'e' on the e in the first syllable of "Echandia"

hope that makes sense :)
welcome to BE and enjoy that fabulous bag!

Thanks for the phonetic pronunciation Katie! Yes, that makes perfect sense and I will sound so elegant pronouncing it correctly. Thanks for verifying the un-availability of the plum messenger strap. I could check with them and ask Jackie if its something that might be available in the future. If I find anything out, I'll share that info.

I am so happy to be in the land of BE, I've never been so pleased with a handbag!

The bag looks great on you! I'm glad that you love it.

As for the messenger strap, you have the older version. I have 3 bags with the old messenger strap and 2 bags with the newer adjustable strap. I think I actually prefer the old strap, but I understand that others like to be able to change the length. It's too bad that you can't get another strap in that color.

By the way, I think that smilesalot is a great name!

The bag looks marvelous on you. Purple crash is one of my favorite BE leathers.

That bag looks great on you!

Like msterling, I too prefer the old messenger strap. With the new ones, I always have it at the longest setting anyway and I think the strap looks more "expensive" without the metal slider and folded leather.

Lovely bag! Congrats with this beauty!

Unfortunately the leather is gone, so you can't have another strap. I personally prefer the new type, but this is more because I bike with my bags, and then the strap needs adjusting.

Thanks for all of your feedback and positive comments! I can feel the BE love!

I think the strap I have will work fine, well it has too, as Jackie confirmed what I read in another thread about Plum Crash leather not being available.

Sooooo... if Plum Crash isn't available, I guess I have a collectors item!!! I really hate to think they won't do Plum Crash any longer, but I didn't ask that specific question, so I'm really not sure.

Thanks again for all the information!
