Default Is the Love Me Huge?
I know the dimensions but would like to see what your opinions are. I'll be using as a day to day baby bag when I feel like ditching my regular diaper bag. I don't mind a big bag but don't want a huge bag! What do you think?

The Love me is not huge in my opinion. I have several full size LM's and a midi. The beauty of the LM style is that if you get it in a softer leather like the matte's, or say pewter or cervo's it will collaspe and fit to form your bag contents. So the excess leather folds very softly and nicely.

It remains my favorite style of BE, next to the TMA. I think it would suit your needs quite well.

Hello Aloha Girl!

I agree with Ms Lizardo. The LM is not huge in my opinion. And the matte leathers become so soft and supple that it just melts into the areas of your bag that aren't used.

Check out the photo archives for photos of this gorgeous bag that will give you a better idea of size.

The LM is my hand-down fave BE style ever. A cult-classic and MUST in any true Belenistas collection!!!

No it's not huge. It smooshes very nicely in most leathers but holds A LOT. I was carrying one today and wondered why it was so heavy until I realized I was carrying 4 hardcover library books in it, lol. It would make an excellent diaper bag.

I think the beauty and functionality of BE bags is that they always look like handbags, no matter what their size, and what you put in them. I use my Love Mes on the days I teach. I carry graded papers, lab manuals and textbooks in it...and the shape doesn't get distorted, it doesn't sag or look like a sack of bricks (which is pretty much what I carry in it). This is the reason the LM is my bag of choice on days I carry a lot of stuff...and even when I don't!

I agree. I have two LMs and I don't thing they are huge...but they are roomy bags! They are my bookbags, when I am off bringing work home or studying for a test.

It looks quite good too not stuffed with stuff!

It totally depends on your size and preference. For me, the regular sizes are gigantic. I just can't imagine having that much to carry in a bag, plus the weight would get out of hand. So it's really up to you, and if you're used to carrying diaper bags, you will probably like this size.

I hope you'll post photos of your beautiful LM when you get it.

I agree! I have a full size Love Me and really DO love it! I just bought a second in matte tan that was on Ebay... It is a larger bag, but looks nice even when there is not much in it. I think the midi is comparable in measurement, if I recall. I like the full size better for the LM, b/c although you can do 2 zippers on the midi, I think proportion wise- at least in photos- the full size is best w/ the two zippers. I think the 2 zippers really make the bag pop too.

With an organizer of some kind, I think you could make the Love Me work for baby basics, but not if you carry a ton of toys, 4-5 outfits, etc., like my mom did w/ my little brother. She always had a BIG baby bag for him w/ loads of stuff.

I don't own a full size LM, but I own a midi LM and I find it on the smaller side for a shoulder bag (personally, if I want a smaller bag I go for a satchel, and keep shoulder bags in medium to large capacity only). I own a full sized TME, which is similar dimensions to the LM, and find it a great everyday/work size, so I think that would be perfect for you.

I actually think Love Me is ginormous. It was fabulous when I was taking the commuter bus every day and had to bring my lunch, PSP, bottle of water and an extra pair of shoes with me. So it might work well as a diaper bag, but as a regular handbag it's pretty f*in huge.

Here's a pic of mine with stuff in it, to give you a general idea of scale. See how small it makes my size 8.5 shoes look?

The regular sized LM is a great size for me! I have never before worn "big" bags, and now I'm totally addicted
It doesn't matter if I fill her up or not, she will drape wondefully and I feel her comfortable to wear.
That said, I also fell in love with her little sister the LMM. ..and she's not so little..but more of a "normal" sized bag for me and very cute!
But I use the regular more.
