I ordered my first BE from a lovely tPFer on Bonanzle last night, and I'm anxiously awaiting its arrival! It's a beautiful wine TME, and I can't wait to get my hands on it.
Question - I plan to treat it with Wilson's products when it arrives, before taking it out. When using a leather moisturizer or cream, do you apply it to these bags directly with your hands, or with a rag? If I squeeze it right onto the bag and rub it in with my hands will that be too much? Thanks! |

Congrats - I"m happy for you!
IMHO buying a BE on Bonanzle/Ebay is the way to go these days. You simply can't go wrong. I have a wine weekender and it's a gorgeous color. That reminds me I sure wouldn't mind another little something in wine. My only problem is that I've run out of styles I like. Maybe a wine wallet? |

I always apply conditioner to a rag and then rub it into the leather, but read the instructions on the product you have.
Wine is an absolutely gorgeous colour, I have it in the Make Me Smile Midi. It is so versatile. Enjoy! |

Congrats on a beautiful bag!
Is it a Wine Glossy or a Wine sheen? The glossy needs no treating whereas the sheen will benefit from a conditioner. |

Thanks, ladies! I tend to wear a lot of jewel tones, so this bag should go nicely with most of my fall/winter stuff.
I believe it's Wine Glossy, bonniekir. The listing says wine pebble glossy. So no moisturizing treatment at all? I assume it would still need waterproofing, though? |

I'm so jealous. I did a bespoke, so I have a long wait.

LOL asbb, I bought the bag yesterday and started my ban after it - it will be my last purchase for a LONG time!
I had initially planned on using this bag for weekends and such, but looking at pics of the size I think it will probably work well as a work tote, too. Bonus! |

I think the wine pebbled glossy is one of the best leathers that BE has made. My main everyday bag is the WTM in the wine pebbled glossy and has held up beautifully. I think you are going to really like it. I also agree that I tend to apply the conditioner to a rag and then apply the rag to the bag. Please post pictures when you get your bag so we can enjoy it with you :)

I actually recently did just that with my last BE order. And I've been great with staying with so far. It's easy when nothing appeals to you anyway but quite challenging when I want something. Good Luck! |
