Today I rushed off to the post office to collect my Adore Me in Dark Purple Glossy.

I instantly fell in love with theis style when it appeared on BEC and although I liked the stock bags, they weren't in colours that I would normally buy, so I passed. I was going to BEC an Adore Me in Aubergine but then the limited leather sale started and I switched to Dark Purple Glossy.

So, first impressions.

Style - I really like the style. I love the Stroke Me and the Adore me is similar in it's simple elegance.

Leather - this is the stiffest leather I have ever had from BE. This is the new glossy that is meant to be tougher then the sheen leathers. I'm hoping it will break down soon and start to smoosh! The bag is hanging at the moment with a ton of stuff in it to start that process.

Size - this is a great size, bigger than my Stroke Me Medium but not so big that it turns into a mess inside or that it swamps me. It can fit a lot. Currently I have an Angel Purse, another purse, two mini diaries, a full size hard back book plus makeup, sunglasses etc in the bag and it still looks good.

Colour - hmm. I'm not so sure at the moment about this Dark Purple. It is lighter than the Aubergine Sheen and doesn't seem as saturated with colour. I love Aubergine so much, I think I just need to give it a chance but my instinct is that I probably should have stuck to Aubergine or chosen Dark Purple Pebbled. It isn't an in your face purple though, and will go beautifully with navy, black, grey etc.

Camera playing up! Some other thoughts

Single threaded handle - this is quite stiff right now but will work better for me than the double threaded handles.

Small zippers - these are great for quickly getting into the bag e.g. to retrieve key fob, sunglasses. The bag itself closes with two quite strong magnetic poppers.

Weight - very, very light for the size. I thought the box was empty when I picked it up at the post office.

Meant to attach these pics! Please excuse the state of my spare bedroom in the modelling shot! For reference, I am 5'6'', wearing no shoes and I'm a UK 12 (which I think is a US 8 but I could be wrong)

I think it's lovely and believe me....having had a dark purple glossy LMMidi, yours WILL soften up and smoosh over! Just wear it!!!!

I think you got a beautiful bag!! I love the leather and the color, and I think you will grow to love it too. It is a very classy bag, and...I've always liked Adore Me's but they seemed to disappear so fast. Enjoy!

Your Adore Me is just stunning - I love the color. As I mentioned in another post it has been my go to bag over the weekends. It is so light and comfortable and really easy to carry. It also can hold an incredible amount of stuff. Enjoy carrying your gorgeous new bag.
