^ I don't know if everyone is not supposed to post their resolution, but apparently both Jenova and I were both asked not to (I just learned about Jenova's request). I certainly understand the desire to see how things worked out as well (and the encouragement of open discussion), but it is a tough spot for the person with the trouble, especially if they anticipate any future purchases from BE with such a request (knowing that BE does pop in the forum).

Elizat - I was disappointed as well about the lack of posting the resolution, but then I asked Jackie what happened and heard she asked you not to post. I know that puts you in a difficult situation and I know this whole ordeal has probably been quite stressful for you. TBH, I have not been all that pleased myself. I usually come to TPF to relax after a long day at work, and now I go to work to relax from TPF! I have to say that it is not exactly rewarding volunteer work! However, I think much of the open discussion was necessary to brainstorm ideas on how to make a better forum for all of us. Also, we were quite fortunate that Vlad had some free time to help us make the rooms necessary to organize the place. The timing couldn't have been better, yes? So, I hope that you can feel good that your emotional distress resulted in something positive. That's how I feel, and that's why it's easy for me to just move on from there.

Belenistas - I don't think BE will be commenting on any threads in the future, so there should be no fear in posting here. I am a person that believes in fair balance when discussions are taking place. So, I hope that people will be respectful of both positive and negative opinions. However, if anyone ever feels that there is a problem, I hope that they will have the courtesy of letting me know rather than letting me be directed to another forum. I can't possibly help if I don't know about it, and frankly may not be as appreciative the next time!

Has anyone had problems with the shoulder seam stitching separating on their Hold Me? I've already sent mine back for repair once and don't use the bag. I've used it for a maybe 2-3 weeks and had it over a year.

zooba, that's the first time I've heard of that happening. Is this the small leather-to-leather seam right at the top of the strap?

So this is the second time this has happened?(and the first time you sent it back for repairs?) Can I ask what leather it is?

Sorry for all the questions btw!

ETA: I think BE can now do all leather handles for the Hold Me, maybe that might give some extra reinforcement (if there was another layer of leather on the underside)?

No problem, I tried searching the forum without success. It's fuschia leather. I'm not trying to create any drama- just want to know if other people have had a similar problem.

It's a very pretty bag and I planned on using it while travelling.

Hi Ladies and Jackie,

I thought I would keep this thread on the right track. Jackie, if you could post in the concierge area rather than this area, I think your customers will feel more comfortable posting here. I realize these are all new policies, so there may be a bit of a misunderstanding, and I will work on making a sticky to clarify this weekend.

Thank you.

This is disconcerting and very annoying if infact it's happened twice now.

Have you contacted Jackie directly to let her know this has happened again?

Thanks Suzi for this clarification. Yes, I was already under the impression that BE could only post in the Concierge area. I think it's a great idea to have an area just for member's and another where BE can be present!

I live in the US and can't justify repeatedly sending a bag to the UK for repairs. I took it to a local cobbler and he wanted to reinforce it with another layer of leather and redo the seam as a diagonal to minimize stress on the strap. He's great repairing my saddles, but....

I'll have to send another email. Thanks for your suggestions.

Ummm, several is kind of an understatement!

Zooba - I'm so sorry you are having this issue. I have a couple of them and I have been quite abusive as well without any handle problems. I would definitely contact Jackie. Maybe she might offer a suggestion on an easy way to repair it without sending it overseas. I wonder why it can't just be restitched?

Not sure why my post was deleted, as I was just responding to Jackie's post and thought it rude not to. I'm tired of being singled out just for having an individual opinion.

Peace.

Surely if your bag is faulty BE pays for all the shipping costs required to sort it out?
