(I think that having this thread as a 'sticky' is excellent
as it means that pertinent information concerning any issues cannot get lost amongst other threads. It would be really useful if all designer sub-forums could have this kind of 'sticky' in place so that everyone can be fully informed as much as possible. )

i agree with all the points here, but my current thoughts are :
- corner wear/leather wear - most of my BE bags are Ok, however my new dk purple matt Stroke Me has color loss on 2 front corners and i have only worn the bag twice. maybe its the design of that bag but that's a bit disappointing to me, maybe it will blend in as i use the rest of the bag. - i totally agree with the comments about stock levels on BE website - and i also think most of us want the security of being able to send a purchase back if we aren't happy, (which of course you can't do with a BE couture bag)- i don't mean we all delberately order a bag with the intention of returning it, and the one time i did send a bag back i spent the same or more on a replacement with BE. I also agree its frustrating when you want to buy a bag but there just isn't the stock available - i can see that BE don't want a load of stock sitting around unsold, but at least as a minimum they carried 1 of each style/colour as currently listed on the website i'm sure that would cover most bases.... |

I can still see where there can be times where BEC can be just the ticket. For instance, last month I saw a pewter wtm midi IRL and I just "knew" I wanted this bag. I knew I wouldn't return or want to exchange so in my situation BEC served a great purpose otherwise I might not have received the bag I really wanted. I understand Jackie's intention for creating BEC. I just think when you consider the upcharge and no return policy it's better to always go with stock list given the chance! I have to say that I'm a big supporter everyone should be able to return or exchange their bag and this new strategy would allow for just that yet still give Jackie control to only order when she's confident she sold her last one (or second in the case of Coach). I know in the past BE would order several of one color so often stock would just "sit" for awhile. But, this plan allows for much more flexibility and control. I think it would go a very long way in making BE customer's even happier!

The one thing to keep in mind here is that Jackie's business is still a small, personal business. This isn't Neiman's or Saks or Target where items are stockpiled to oblivion. The whole purpose behind BE is to offer personal, one-on-one service and produce bags in smaller quantities. You walk into a Rolls Royce Dealership, do you really expect to have your RR ready the same afternoon of next week despite forking over the cash?? It doesn't work that way.
From what I understand BE offers and makes small quantities of handbags that are offered on the website for immediate purchase. Once these are sold out, you must bespoke one to order. Stockpile on the website, and you might as well get rid of BEC- what's the point? I think many of the challenges and complaints faced by some is the fact that these group bespoke orders become so large, it's hard work to keep track of every single order and detail.....especially when people are changing their minds left, right, and centre. And the threads I've read where people cannot make a decision about lining, handle length, how many zips, etc....etc.......I have to ask, how much interest there actually is in "in-stock" bags??? My head spins reading some of the indecisiveness regarding orders.....perhaps because there are way too many choices. My EM took approximately 2 weeks to make and 3 days to deliver. To me, that was a very fast turn-around and I am quite pleased. And as far as leather wear is concerned, I completely agree that wear and tear should take longer to appear and I've asked Jackie personally to look into getting different types of leathers that may address this issue. Her response was many types of higher quality leathers exist, but they cost more, so perhaps this is something we should bring to her attention?? And at the end of the day, I still think for the price, BE bags are an excellent value. The personal service, BEC candy store, and willingness to make people happy are what make BE a success in my opinion. One last thing. I'm all in favour of having a complaints thread, but I hope others will keep in mind that there are always 2 sides to every story. I read one thread recently where there were several pages of the same complaint (Suzi, you did a fabulous job btw) and after several pages, a resolution was reached, yet we never knew what that was. I found it odd and really didn't know what the point of the thread was. If you're going to post a legitimate complaint, please have the decency and respect to post the resolution as well. |

You raise some good points here. If it's going to cost Jackie more to buy leather's with less wear/tear then do we really want the price to increase? Great question to raise. Second, I like your suggestion to post resolutions. Otherwise, we'll all feel like we're kept in suspense after being somewhat invested in the initial issue. |

If the prior posts refer to me, I was asked by Jackie not to post the resolution. I only honored her request. I'm sorry that this has offended so many.

a couple of other things to add........I've had ALL the BE leathers and I think the most fragile and one that " don't wear as well " are the "SHEEN" leathers.....like Petrol, Wine, etc.....
Glossy, pebbled luxe, crash, croc, metallics all wear very well. I do know that the plum and choco crash can show some silvering on the corners, but elsewhere, the bag remains saturated. I know that colour variety is important to many. I often read how people wish BE would offer more colours like Balenciaga.......thing I remember Jackie telling me some time ago was, although they could use leathers that don't "wear" so quickly, she hasn't found them available in nicer colours than the ones currently used. I'm sure she could find them at higher cost, but how many of you want to dish out another few hundred $$$???? I'll admit that I've encountered a couple of "issues" with my bags, but they were dealt with quickly and to my satisfaction. And just as some here feel that complaints SHOULD be posted, I believe that unless it will affect everyone, I prefer to deal with mine privately. So I hope the respect is mutual as I believe we are all entitled to handle things as we see fit. |

And for the record, I want to state here in black and white that ......I DO NOT BITE and I'm tired of reading posts where people are fearful of some silly retaliation taking place or not being able to speak their minds in this sub-forum. That's utterly ridiculous and I laugh every time I read it. If people have something to say, regardless of whether it's positive or negative POST it and stop the silly gossip and procrastination and making it about something else. Let's deal with the issue like adults and move on, yes? |

I do hope that it has been made clear to all those ladies reading that long string of distressing posts over on Ignes Forum a few weeks ago how easy it really was to sort the situation out. |

![]() I hope so. I know some just don't want to rock the boat, so to say, especially when their items are still in production. |

I have absolutely no clue what's going on here. But, I'm just happy to see that everyone seems happy again.
![]() So, if there's a resolution made then your not supposed to post the details about on the PF? Contessa, then with that in mind I don't think the ladies can post if they are going to follow Jackie's wishes. |
