anitalilac, I am not zuzu but I have tried Apple Care lotion on leather bags that have this problem and it really helps. There are other products that will do the trick as well like LMB (LovinMyBags), Melatonian, and even products made by companies like ColeHaan and Bally.
Contessa, one of the perks of living in Manila vs NYC is that waiters will usually offer you a chair for your handbag when you dine. It is so much more comfortable than having the bag on your lap under your napkin, or having to keep an eye on it as it is hanging on the back of a chair. |

I use Apple Lotion on all of my bags. I have a Miu Miu bag that scratches if you even bump it, but the bag is absolutely gorgeous so I just haul out the lotion and like magic it looks new again. I've used it on BE matte leathers and Botkier lamb as well. It is definitely worth trying!

I don't mind worn corners as much, but I do try to moisturize with Apple Guard when I see too many scuffs and scratches. I bought a gallon of the stuff in the last Leatherstuff sale. |

I own a Mogano City and I won't ever let her go, even though she's pre-loved and the tassels are all worn. |

I actually used Redwing products on my AP. It's a brand of work boot my dad used to wear. He would get a pair every few years and they would take a beating every single day so I figured if it was good enough for his boots it would work for my bag. When I put the waterproofer on my AP it turned all different colors and I kind of freaked out, but the next morning there it was as same as I received it!
I just purchased some Apple products since everyone seems to recommend them. I have treated my wine AP to see how it will hold up. My purse hanger is at work and I am traveling this week so I can post it next week or maybe Euridice, yoo hoo Euridice!, can post one of hers. |

hi thanks for this - i'm in the Uk and tried to order either Apple or Lovin My Bags online and i would have had to pay about $30-$40 shipping plus customs fees... for me that was too much! so for my wine sheen TME midi, which had a bit of scuffing and dryness on the sides I used Dubbin (not sure which brand though, poss Meltonian??) - i left it to soak in and then polished with a muslin cloth. it helped the dryness and the bag is now more supple, also the slightly darker corners blended in too. i just thought i'd post for anyone who can't get hold of Apple or LMB.. warning with Dubbin though - as it has a sligh yellow colour i wouldn't apply it on pale bags like cream/bone as it may darken them too much. i also used it on my vachetta leather on LVs too. |

A Little Warning
I used my Pewter Crash Surprise Me in the recent 'heatwave' in the UK (which does not compare to the normal hot weather in many other countries). I was wearing 8-hour sun protection lotion on my shoulders and sweating because I was out walking in the midday sun. The shoulder pad on the strap had formed a series of little creases where it bent inwards in a concave curve over my shoulder. On only the 3rd day of use, the surface of the little ridges created by the creases had worn through to the darker leather under the metallic finish. This is not a problem for me. The wear has occurred inside the shoulder pad, so doesn't show, and I have another unused Pewter messenger strap that I bought for my Hug Me anyway. However, I will be careful about other areas of my Pewter bags rubbing against my hot flesh in future. |

That is very interesting indeed. My pewter AP developed corner wear in the week I was away basking in the sun last year, and I too was smothered in sun cream. I always suspected that it had something to do with the wear.
I bet it's reacting with the finish in some way. My corner wear never got any worse - it just happened in that week and that was it!
