Bag problem? Who me?

Awww Hip....take care of yourself first!!! I was just wondering what it would look like hanging from the shoulder, not crossbody, with a longer strap option. I often have one child on my hip, and something another dangling somewhere from one of my limbs, so it is always nice to have a bag that will go with the flow and hang from whatever body part I have available!!!

I think it would work well that way (as a long shoulder strap) and will try to take photos for you. I totally know what you mean
And thank you for the kind wishes - I really would love to get this bug out of my system soon.

This is a great thread, thanks to those who have contributed! I think the CM looks great in both matte and pebbled leathers and these pics. make me want one.
Does anyone have thoughts on taupe matte vs. port pebbled for a CM? |

Ok, modeling shots per request. I tried my best but cannot seem to get clear enough photos. Anyway...
First 2 are with the bag worn on the shoulder using the messenger strap (adjusted to shoulder length); 3rd is with the bag carried over the shoulder using regular shoulder straps (I forgot to remove the messenger strap so this is how it looks if you wear it with the strap still attached); 4th and 5th are worn cross-body, with strap extended to longest possible length. I am 5'3" on a good day and too many lbs:-) |

Great pics, hipnycmom! It looks like the pebbled leather makes the bag sort of snuggle up against you, which I love. I am strongly considering a CM Mini for fall but can't decide between glossy or pebbled.

I do love the slouch factor of this bag. Hopefully my black crash and petrol glossy CM Minis arrive soon and I can post pics to help you in your decision-making

This style is really great looking - thanks to all who have taken the time to post pics and provide descriptions. The style seems to be quite versatile - and some of the ideas about using the messenger strap on the shoulder or getting longer handles sound very interesting.......
My question to all of you who have the bag....is it easy to live with? What I mean by this is, when you wear it, is it easy to get in and out of? Can you find things easily inside? Can you set it down and pick it up easily without having it fall over? Thanks in advance for the info! I'm done with my WTM And LM collections and its time to move on to some other designs....this may be a candidate!! |

Bali, this is a really easy style to live with. I can see it as a candidate for "if you only had 1 bag...". It is shallower than the totes so finding things is easy. They don't seem to flop around too much. The opening of the bag is really wide, and the zipper snaps to the side so that it isn't flopping around (something I couldn't stand about my Balenciaga Cities). I also like that there is a zip closure - it makes everything all the more secure. The pebbled leather is pretty slouchy, but the bag does not fall over (unlike the TME or LM). Also, the strap drop is perfect - it is long enough without being too long.

This is great! I wish we had one of these for every bag....seriously. Thanks for starting this PixieChic and HipNYCMom, I love the shots of the bag comparisons bottom to bottom. You never see those shots and it really is so helpful.

oh my goodness I was thinking the CM mini might be what I'm looking for but your long-strap actions shots have officially put it on my wish list! I'm thinking pewter....
Thank you so much for your action shots hipnycmom! And Pixiechic, your size comparison of the regular next to the Bayswater is especially helpful since I have a Bays. Now to decide regular size or mini for me? (and find that money tree LOL) |

I agree with everything hipnycmom said - this style is very easy to live with. It's easy to see into, easy to get stuff in and out of, and it doesn't have that annoying Bal floppiness. Mine is matte leather which gives it a good bit of structure but it's still soft, not severe at all.
dogdoc, in terms of size, I would say that if I had to order mine all over again I would probably get the mini. The full size is a great work tote (I can easily fit a dozen eggs in there, plus normal stuff, lunch, water bottle, book), but for everyday it's a really big bag. Of course, if you love big bags then you should go for the full size. Wish I could help you with the money tree, but alas, I haven't found it yet! |

dogdoc I have to agree with bonnie. The mini is not very mini at all and in fact is the perfect size for everyday. And if you are a day-to-night person, it is not too big for a casual night out.

Thank you so much for your opinions on size pixiechic and hipnycmom! In my small stash I do have the larger bags covered so now I'm positive that the CM mini is the right size for me. I'm now officially saving up for one in pewter! I wonder if there would be enough interest in pewter to get a bespoke going? I was so sad to let my one pewter BE bag go and am determined to have another...

I'm just about decided on a regular CM in port with silver hardware.

I am thinking a CM Mini is in my future as well. It was not a bag I'd even considered til seeing all these pics, so this thread was very helpful with the size comparisons.
