Hi Ladies,

I have found the London Tote Midi to be one of the most comfortable and practical bags that I own. I have also been looking for a whiskey-colored leather for some time and haven't found anything I really love.

Until Now.

Jackie is giving us a special offer for those who want to order a London Tote Midi in the new SS12 whiskey leather. I'm attaching a photo-it is the leather attached to the left sample wheel. The one on the right is the original cognac--it has more pebbling and a bit more red. The whiskey is just gorgeous and I think would be fantastic in this style--truly a year round bag.

I should plead the 5th but insanity is also a good defense! I have a LMM in med purple matte, Tote Me Midi in tan bubble chevre and choco glossy, London Tote Midi in med purple pebbled and a dark purple matte Madrid. I also expect a mottled gold Madrid and a stock chestnut chevre NYS Mini. I admit it. I'm a BE glutton! As I explained before though I won't get them all at once but one at a time over the winter months! Makes me feel less insane!

Sounds like you have some lovely choices! The medium purple matte is really gorgeous--I find that it's really difficult for me to find browns, purples and greys that I like. Once you find something that works for you, it's tough to settle for anything else. I don't think I'll ever buy another grey bag--the BE dark grey has ruined me forever.

I am curious to see which bags will be in stock for the rest of the year. It seems there are mostly clutches and small bags at this point.

Yes, once you find the right shade of those colors it's hard to settle for anything else. I love earl grey velvet matte and nearly all of BEs purples and browns! One reason I love the LT is I believe it could be done in a variety of leathers and look fabulous!

I agree that the London Tote Midi is a style that I think is complemented by a number of different leathers. I'm enthusiastic about this bespoke because I believe this leather in particular is going to be gorgeous with this style.

Looking forward to other TPFers considering this bespoke!

Wait - there is a tan bubble chevre?! Does anyone happen to have a picture of that? (Sorry to hijack the thread)

Circoit, I'll do some looking for one to share with you. I first saw it when BE did a story on a tan ram bubble leather NY satchel then they posted it on Facebook. I fell in love with it and inquired about it. At first I couldn't get it but I guess a couple of other gals asked about it so the leather was purchased for us. I have no idea if there is any more left but you can email BE if you are interested. I'll look for a pic to post tomorrow.

Yes, if you email Jackie, she can have a swatch of the leather sent to you! And yes, you can choose your own lining--I believe the only requirement is that your same lining choice needs to be used in both the bag and the matching AP (to keep things streamlined).

Outstanding, I will email for a swatch. Something you said above struck close to my heart ---------- I too, am very particular about browns, purple and greys. Blue for some reason I can any and every shade, but the forementioned I am more particular with, but when I find one that works, I DIE. This Whiskey appears be right up my alley and I think in a London Tote Midi it would be a lifelong bananas gorgeous handbag! To me it is just dark enough that it will wear beautifully and look better as it ages. Quite excited about the possibilities of this one.

I think we're similar in that way--picky about certain colors. When I saw the cognac and then the whiskey, I realized THAT was the color I had been looking for but hadn't seen it in a style I loved enough to commit. I know now from carrying my London Tote Midi that this leather would be perfect--the bag is just so easy to carry. It works with whatever I'm doing and I don't have to fuss with it. And you're right--I think this bag is going to age beautifully--like an old friend that goes on all your travels!
