I hope you've all had a lovely summer. As you've seen, we've been hard at work on our new collections, hope you like them!

Meanwhile, I wanted to mention that our next Twitter Contest is imminent and explain a bit about how it works for those who are unsure.

First, you need an account on Twitter, which is easy to get. Twitter is an online interaction tool, that allows you to chat with others in real time and post updates about what you are doing. I personally recommend dowloading Tweetdeck, as then you can easily see when other people post questions and comments aimed at you.

Please note: I advise anyone using Twitter or any other such programmes to have up to date firewall and other protection and to be very careful which links they click on. Don't click on links unless you know the other person can be trusted and preferably only click on links of those you're following. First thing to do is to follow www.twitter.com/belenechandia and www.twitter.com/jackiecawthra

Twitter is also a great way for us to get our news out there - we post new collections, new ideas, news and various other things and most importantly of late we've started a BE Twitter Competition.

I can't emphasise enough how this is a good time to take part in our Twitter competitions, as hardly anyone yet knows about them, meaning you have a very good chance of winning. Did you know that we gave away FOUR bags during the last Twitter Contest? The grand prize winner won a customised Take Me Away that she ordered via BE Couture.

The next contest starts next week and is based around a trip I'm taking to Barcelona. So if you want to see a little of the city and have the chance to win a bag (and no I'm not working for the Spanish tourist board as someone asked before, haha) then do sign up to follow me and have a go at the questions!

Yes ok, why not! I'll make sure it is posted on a weekend and confirm dates on the website and via newsletter soon.

Also want to clarify that you do NOT have to actually "tweet" or post anything on Twitter, you just have to follow us and read our posts. You do have to sign up and follow @jackiecawthra and @belenechandia but you are not required to actually write anything personal about yourself or in fact anything at all.

Hi Tropical!

Cream pebbled is a colour we will debut for "cruise" i.e. a bit later in the year, around November. It's a personal favourite of mine so we couldn't possibly miss it out :) as I have to have one myself.

I noticed on the newletter that there is 10% off preorder bags would it be possible to have a list of bags being produced and colourways please.
Also it would be handy to know dimensions of laptop sleeves in the beautiful laptop bag/ laptop midi bag
What is the deadline for preordering?
Finally can we make any alterations to the bag eg lining color or narrower handles

I saw that there is a thread asking this question in the main thread - if someone could re-post this info there I'd be grateful.

I will be posting it on our website ASAP and when it is there I will post the link here so you all know where it is.

Also just clarifying that for pre-ordering stock, we have fixed choices. The bags have to correspond with the orders we're producing, including lining and hardware. Where we think a leather works well with both colours there IS a choice between silver and brass, however. But if you want something different, we have to order it as a bespoke order.

I was going to post something else here but I've forgotten what it was. I'll be back when I remember!

I have never had trouble with your boxes, so I can't really give a valid feedback!

BUT..I would like BE to consider to "warn" customers if a certain type/colour of leather is running low.

Or if a change is going on with a particular leather and colour, so no misunderstandings happen.

Many thanks for the thoughts shared. We value them!

Whilst supply of leathers at the tannery can change quickly from day to day, we will do our best to be in touch if a certain colour runs low. Also if there is a change.

Hi Rose,

Just wondering if the wallets will have a very feminine feel, a 'unisex' feel or if BE plan to have a range of wallets for men? My boyfriend has always been very impressed with the style and quality my BE bags, and I know he would love a custom wallet as long as it didn't "look girly".
(He also thinks that BE should make leather belts!)
