Eli - you will love the wine pebbled. It is much nicer irl than the photos make it appear. I just took mine out of storage to remind me to carry it!

Thank you for mentioning Paco. We miss him dearly.

I'm excited about the wine LM. I know I love the pebbled leather and hope the flat straps work okay for me.

I did end up getting that job offer, so I think the bag is my gift to me for that! I feel like it is a purchase that I justified after the fact! I don't care though- it works!

There are soo many pre-loved gorgeous bags for sale right now. It is extremely hard to resist. I will completely buckle if something in Root shows up!

Oh gosh, I've been looking at a bunch of them and dreaming about types of leather, color and linings. The WTM midi (or a mini, if one miraculously popped up somewheree) in pewter, choco crash or aubergine will likely be my next BE. If I could choose lining colors, I would combine pewter with purple, choco crash with light blue, and aubergine with light blue. I'm also craving the MMS midi (though I'm and loving what bluefish did with her choc crash miNi) and the IB midi in purple or port. I also like the root one, but I think it comes with gold HW. And I wouldn't mind a plum crash HdM. I'm in trouble...

There are 3 choco crash WTM's on Bonanzle right now and one is at an amazing price! Full size. The others are a bit overpriced.

Yeah, I saw them. I agree the midis are too high--for me, at least. I don't know what impact the messed-up economy has had on BE sales, but last year (and to this day) I saw resale prices for most MJ bags drop to about half what people were willing to pay just months before the news of gloom and doom blew up in Oct. '08. A bag that would've easily sold for $400 in the Summer wouldn't sell for more than $200 by the Fall. It's been brutal...

Yeah...I saw a couple of bags and thought of you. It's funny how sellers list bags though - like if a bag is on there for $250 and hasn't sold for weeks and weeks, why list the same bag, or something really close to it for $400++ and expect it to sell? That seems like a total waste of effort.

Selling used to be easier...I have items (mostly jewelry) listed that have been on Bonz for months. Personally, I would've jumped at the opportunity of buying some of these. I can't keep dropping the prices, especially when some of the items are in like-new shape and hard to find/rare pieces. It seems like one has to give things away in order to sell them. I'm gonna try one of those scheduled Bonanzas, or whatever they're called, and see if it makes a difference.

Question
: While researching the WTM and crash leathers, I ran into comments about the wear on this type of leather--not scratches but scuffs or peeling on the bottom. Now I can't find those posts. Can any of you comment about this? Have you noticed more wear on the bottom of your crash bags? TIA.

It really has -- I have some bags that I should sell, but I'm going to just keep them until the economy improves -- I actually took several mid-range bags to my local resale shop and got about what I would have got on Bonanzle for them -- I think resale shops are getting higher $$ for things right now than the auction sites!
