Talking Zimmerframe for Bbag addicts 40 and over! (taken from Chloe forum)
Since we have some wonderful 40 somethings addicted to Bbags, I thought this might be fun to post in! Lescoy started one for the Chloe "girls"!

I will start I am 55 :( and a Bbag addict! I am never satisfied it seems because I never get to see the bags IRL before I buy!

I am not toned and hot like someone we know( she is inspiring me)
but I hope some of her good karma will come my way!

And for those of you not familiar with the term zimmerframe (it is a walker!!!) Something we can use to help us carry our bags!!

Just turned 50.....I think the older one gets the wiser they become and realize that one does not have to take things so seriously. Learn to laugh and look at life differently...become more accepting of everything life throws your way. Feel comfortable in your own skin and love it......
I recently became to love BBag--after years of LV, I find the chewy colorful leather fits my needs better than any other designers.
Too many enablers here, but nothing wrong with that.

muggles,

Wasn't the Chloe Zimmer Frame for over 40?
I think that the over 40 includes a large number of TPFers, so the thread would be more active.

O.K., here is another one over 50 - 52, and soon to be 53 in May. :)

Seriously addicted. I have more time and money to feed my addiction than I would have at twentysomething.

Muggles, I am like you - I have to buy most of my bags sight unseen. That has resulted in me buying many bags that I would not have bought if I would have seen them IRL.

My godmother is 53 and has a few bbags in her huge bag collection- ranging from 2005 to 2009 bags, RH and GH too. She rocks them and shares some with her daughters!

OK, muggles ..... save a 50 -something spot for me.
Miss pilatesworks and I were discussing having this thread a few days ago and I was trying to think of a name. Im glad you got it going!

Anyway, Im 51 in years, but don't believe in numbers. Its the A t t i t u d e !
I'm new to bbags which means I only own one (CITY/MALDIVES), but I do feel an addiction beginning. For right now, I will just admire everyone else's collection.

Well if you change it to 40+, that would be me!! I am a fairly recent Bal convert about 6 or 7 months ago and just love them. I also have my share of Chloes. I have sold off all of my LV collection (which was huge) with no regrets.

I definitely do not have time for this little obsession as I have a busy medical practice, a DH, four sons, and a house to take care of, but somehow, I make the time!! If I spent 1/2 the time on my treadmill that I spend on TPF, I might come a little closer to looking like pilatesworks!!

Living in Ohio, I also buy 99% of my bags based on photos. I have had a lot of turnover and change in my collection while finding the bags that are truly "me." I have learned I prefer darker neutral bags and more colorful accessories, that I love distressed bags, and that after years of carrying bags on my arm and in my hand, shoulder bags suit me better!!

And since no one I know around here understands my obsession, I am so happy tp have found you ladies to share the love!!

Thanks so much for starting this thread, Muggles! Dlynn and I were talking about it, but then I got so busy posting pics all over this forum, I didn`t get around to it!
WOO HOO !!!! I am 52.5 and so happy!
about me:
I am Leslie ( aka Pilatesworks) , and I have 4 teens, ages 13,14,15,and 16. They are all exactly 1 year apart, the middle 2 actually were born on the same day 12/21, in 1993 and 1994! My eldest son is autistic, and we learn so much from him every day. He is a dear, sweet boy that reminds us daily that love, patience, and tolerance do indeed make the world go round! He is my spiritual guide, truly.
I teach Pilates PT, and I am also a massage therapist, and fitness enthusiast.
I just got re-married to my ex DH on 2/28/2009!
I used to teach scuba-diving in the Red Sea, we lived in the Mid-East for 20 years, returning to the USA 9 years ago. I spent most of my adult life abroad, and I loved every minute of it!
I am so looking forward to chatting with everyone, even the young'uns- they need to see how much fun we are !!!!!

I'm in! I am Cathy, and I am 55 (this month) and definitely think this is one of the best times of my life! Just discovered Bal last year thanks to this forum. But all of the ladies on this forum that I have had contact with have been wonderful. Both my husband and I work full-time, but in our spare time, we show classic Mustangs. Check us out at www.lowcountrymustangs.com . In the photo album of pictures of our Valentine's dance, he and I are the ones at the DJ booth (and, that is what he does in the rest of his "spare" time, LOL). I have a '65 black convertible, and he (Skip) has a red '69 Mach I. Those pictures are under "members' rides." I don't remember a day in my life that I didn't love handbags - even as young as six when I begged my mom to buy me one! This forum has been an affirmation that I am not the only obsessed one!

Just wanted to add to those looking forward to their fifties that this may just be the age where you don't care what people think of you and you can actually just have fun. The pictures below are my husband and I doing our rendition of Tammy Wynette singing "Stand By Your Man." Probably would not have had the nerve to do this a few years back. Hope ya'll get a good laugh! Time for bed now, LOL. Have a good night!
