Is this a bag that I should be held on to or one that should be sold?

Depends on many things. Are you thinking of selling in in lieu of a Ruby? What model do you have?

I have a RV City and I'm keeping mine.

rouge vif is one of the most coveted colors - it's a true blue red.
sell it if you must, but don't expect ruby or any of the other new reds to replace it - JMHO

^^ITA. I half thought about selling my RV city for a Ruby city. Then realized I already had everything I wanted in a red city bag.

Of course if someone wants to throw a ruby WE my way I won't turn it down!

I think this really depends on how much you wear the bag, and if it is a color that makes YOUR heart sing. No sense in holding on to a bag if you are not using it.

It's a really good red and a 2006 color that tended to have great leather. I have a WE and a Purse and can't bring myself to let one go.

I actually thought about selling her to fund a HG in LV! She unfortunatly, has not been carried as much as she could be and I find myself currently drifting more towards LV bags.

^^I say no (total b-bag bias here - no offense to LV lovers) BUT LV (to me) is laminated canvas (right?) it's not even leather @#$%$ Balenciaga is wonderful chewy thick lovely leather bag. You can't really compare the two!

Just remember once you let go of an older season (good color good leather) bag it might not be so easy to come by again (at a fair price). But of course only you know what you would carry and use. If you ask in the Balenciaga forum if you should sell a popular bag to fund a LV purchase I think most people will say no. If you ask in the LV forum they'll tell you yes.
