ladies! i think i'm insane! i just bought a 07 violet step which will be here tomorrow and already start thinking to get another one

so...... i was browsing few minutes ago, and boom........a blue twiggy!!!!!! for $399!
yes, it is authentic! and what happen next? i bought it!!!!!

I would hold out for an 05, though I have not seen an 03 IRL.
I know Aki-sato just bought an 03 PH, she would tell you what the leather is like...
I would wait until whatever I found was as mint as you can get, it is really a bummer to have a bag with gorgeous 05 leather and then have sticky handles or scruffy corners...( tho those things can be fixed, it is true...)

PILATES, I THINK YOU'RE RIGHT! I HAVE BEEN ANXIOUS ABOUT GETTING AN RH BLACK CITY AND I DO PREFER MINT. SO I GUESS I SHOULD WAIT. I NOW THINK BOTH ARE NOT SO FANTASTIC! MOST OF THE BALS ON MY WISHLIST ARE OLD AND IT SEEMS LIKE THEY ARE NEVER GOING TO SHOW UP.

You do not want to buy a bag that is not 100% what you want, only to have a Mint 05 turn up afterwards, right?
Be patient, they are around, you just have to keep checking ebay and your perfect HG bag will show up. About 5 Black 05's were listed a couple of weeks ago!
Those bags you were looking at looked fine, but if you want a mint 05, wait for it!

Sounds like you have your hands full Leslie!

melissa! So that's what's going on, I hardly ever see you in the HL threads any more.

Question for you, what can be done about darkened handles? I've heard of the cornstarch trick but is this always successful? It's a light coloured bag and the warming in on the underside of the handle. I'm worried that the oil might not come out. Am I being too fussy?

^You could hide in your closet or a week and play dressups with your shoes, dresses & bags??? Or go for a Caribbean holiday....much of a muchness really!!!

Or better yet, get the hubby to take the kids on a holiday without you!

lilmissb, I have heard that there are home remedies that help darkening, BUT I would recommend sending the bag off to LMB for a treatment.....it is kind of pricey, BUT the handles come back like new!
Melissa, you def should run away, at least for an hour and get a massage or a pedi or something!
