No, I didn't. It really wasn't as bad as Blair witch. They put the camera down for some of it. But...you may want to wait until it comes out to DVD just in case

Red~ You need to see it! I think it is ingenious!! The actors are wonderful as they represent "real" people. Not beautiful people acting..does that make sense?

ghost - you sure it wasn't as bad as Blair? I saw Blair Witch when I was younger and probably much healtheir, lol. I think I have to wait for Paranormal Activity on DVD so I can see it on a smaller screen.

What is everyone else up to this weekend?

I saw Paranomal Activity too recently and I liked it a lot, it creates really good a very unsettling atmopshere

But I am not easily scared with horror movies, so this is a great compliment coming from me!
Its also so amazing how little money the filmmakers used to make this film (around 15k dollars) and now look at that success with over 80 million dollars

I haven't gotten the courage to watch Paranormal Activity yet. My friends watched it and they said definitely there were some disturbing moments. I'm actually pretty fine with scary movies. I'm okay with them, but I get easily startled and scared.
The director of that movie is amazing.. thinking about how little it cost to make that movie! What other good movies are out these days? I haven't gone to the movies for a LONG time!

Minky you should defintley go see PA =)
it has no gruesome blood or splatter elements or cheap in your face scares (like loud music added) only in the end there is one, but the original ending was not like that, they changed it for the cinema-release (Steven Spielberg helped).
I liked the original version better, fits more to the whole tone of the film!

that makes perfect sense, it's the same way I thought about it, you connect to those 2 people and I love it they chose this actress, who is very pretty but not hollywood pretty, but pretty in a very good normal way!

I would recommend though to watch it later on dvd at home alone in the dark, because it is much more scarier when you are not in an overfilled cinema with screaming teenage girls

^^ yep, it is getting boring how all these new hollywood actresses look the same, I mean I have nothing against looking at a gorgeous woman on the bigscreen, but in movies like PA normality it just works so much better than these superficially beautiful and ultra-skinny hollywood-ladies (not that ALL are that way, but many).

District 9 I have yet to see, heard good things about it!

A recent movie that I would recommend (I just saw it today) is: "500 days of Summer" with Zoey Deschanel
It's a sweet little movie and no typical hollywood ending, but leaves one with a warm fuzzy feeling, at least me :)
And I love zoey, she is amazing!

Pinkisweets- I loved "500 Days of Summer"! I watched it with a guy friend and he actually enjoyed it too! It was a chick flick but had an indie style taste to it, which I really adored!! I also thought the music was awesome in it!! :) I would totally recommend it too!

Another friend saw Paranormal Activity today. She said people around her were all freaking out during the movie.. haha
