I'm 5'6" and I was used to big bags, and had a hard time getting used to the "smallness," of the City. The Work is a perfect size in my opinion, but I use mine less because I really miss the shoulder strap too. The Day is my all-time-favorite Bal style for size and comfort, but not as iconic or versatile as the City.

If you decide on the City, take a look at the modeling photos here, because they start out much bigger looking and feeling when they are new. It's when they get slouchy and soften up that they seem so much smaller. If you buy one that is still a little stiff, you will be used to it, by the time it "shrinks."

Connie did you ever have a Part Time? I think in many respects that is a good compromise. Has a strap and slightly bigger than city. THough I kind of find the part time too big. I love the city and the Twiggy too!!

I haven't had a Part Time or a Twiggy. I'm managing to buy too many bags just among Cities, Days and Works. I thought I'd be perfectly happy with these three, but I just pounced on a Weekender that I just could not resist.

I may have to live in it.

^^^^^Which WE did you get?!
mmmsc, I have a couple of PT`s and some Citys too, and I do not find the PT to be too big at all. Some think it is too 'east/west', but it works for me!

Hola Chicas.. Como estas?

Conni... you could carry TUX in the WE!!

I had a PT... too big. As Leslie, said, just too E/W for me.
The city is still thus far my perfect size.

Hi ladies- I'm a newbie and an ex LV collector now entranced with Bals, but can't decide which I prefer, but will either go for one in Granny or Sandstone, and wonder what protectant spray you need if I go with the lighter and where I can purchase same? Also, any thoughts on Twiggy versus Work?

I couldn't resist that Khaki WE on evilbay. It's on its way here from France. Buying from overseas makes me really nervous, but not too nervous this time to punch that BIN button!

EllieMae...Tux would love it, but he's not trustworthy near anything with tassles!

I have never seen a WE IRL, so I hope the size won't overwhelm me. I have this fantasy of using it as a "Work," bag, because I really need something bigger than a Work, but I'm not sure I want to put the wear and tear on it. Another fantasy I have is that when we get our seasonal fire threats, maybe I can put my other Bals inside while we pack up to run!!

^^^Cannot wait to see that WE, Conni! Mod pics requested!
I have never seen one IRL either, but I did think the Courier would be too big, and it is perfect!

Help on the thoughts of Twiggy versus Work and a new square tote style which is available in Praline instead of Granny like the other two. Help pleeeease! You can't let me keep carrying those stuffy old lady LV's I have!! I know I'm older than you all, but I used to be in the fashion industry and need to be back at least carrying some great bags!!

Twiggy and Work are so different. Most people like the strap on the Twiggy, and I believe it is easy to get in and out of compared to the City (which has the 'rabbit ears,' that can get in the way).

The Work is very large compared to most of the bags, and holds a ton of stuff while looking good....but has no strap, which can be a pain.

When I got interested in Bals, I spent lots of time looking at photos of the girls modeling different styles. It is a huge help when you can't see the bags in real life.

Photos wearing your Bbags ***PICTURES ONLY***

Hi ladies- I REALLY need your help on this, as you can't let me keep carrying my old lady LVs!! I know I'm older than you all, but I used to be in the fashion industry, so I need to at least carry some great bags!! I'm leaning toward the Giant City over the Twiggy or a new square tote style. Thoughts?? And if I go with the light Granny, what is the spray needed to protect the leather??
