Default Should an Aussie girl get a big bad Biker Jacket?
I mean, seriously...Why am I remotely considering this?

It's not even summer yet on the glorious Sunshine Coast in Queensland and it's a lovely 25 degrees celcius.

Coldest months are (and I have to really think about this) May - August.

We basically have 2 seasons here: Hot and Not-So-Hot

Our coldest months are dreamy conditions for the travellers from the UK. All the aussies rug up and the Europeans dive butt naked into the ocean around here!

So, with that said, should I get a Balenciaga Biker Jacket?

I would have to purge one of my bags to make this happen. I use all my bags all the time, so it will be a hard choice. It might even be miss Ink Weekender...If I did it, I would be banned for life.

Is it worth it?

Get it - wear it with a bikini if you have to - but get it.

To me, it's not worth it...
It’s not because of the geographic location…I live most of my time in Sydney. The main reason is I do believe that I would be able to find a substitute at a much lower price, like only at 10-20% of THAT price.

However, if you really LOVE it and you can afford it without selling your favourite bags, then go for it.

not worth it. I live in Texas and I just would not get the wear out of it to justify. It was close to 80 degrees here yesterday. in November.

If it is that hot where you live, I would not buy it.

Dallas - you are too funny! "Get it - wear it with a bikini if you have to - but get it."

I've been contemplating this myself.. and I live in So.CAL

I duno.. thats a hard one KDC.

So this is the thought process...

My head would say No.. but the little thing on my shoulder is telling me otherwise...get it get it!

But, my wallet says no ...don't you dare... lol. the bill....

But, I've decided to use it as an incentive.. once I drop back off the weight I've gained ... and if and when & I'm still pinning for it.. then I'll buy it!

On the other hand.. if financially.. it's all groovy.. then I'd go for it~! g-Luck deciding!

p.s... I don't see it ever going out of fashion.. it's a staple piece that you can keep for years to come.. kwim?

Well I live quite close to you and I would say you probably won't get alot of use out of it. If you really feel the cold like me you could probably wear it May-Sept but you'd have put up with all the looks and questions that I get for being too rugged up!

Don't get it - buy a bag you can use all year round if you want to. It'll just end up decorating your closet. I'm in Sydney & my black leather jacket (not Bal) barely gets worn. I have many jackets in storage that never come out of storage - I end up giving them to friends in cold parts of NZ! Besides, biker jackets here don't always have a good association, like that recent murder at Sydney airport...

It's absolutely stunning (and I mean STUNNING), but I think unless you felt you could get a lot of wear out of it, it's not worth it.

it's a stunning jacket, the question is will you even be able to use it? I don't think I'd give up a favorite bag for it, especailly if you only use it a handful of times a year, but damn if it isn't one hot, hot jacket!

If you tried it on and it looks great and you can afford it BUY IT! I live in San Diego and if I could I would buy it in a heartbeat BUT I am still 30 lbs. overweight from baby and have no idea what my steady size will be.

Nope, not worth it. This jacket is WARM. Other tpfers talk about wearing it when the temp goes below 10 degrees celsius. You are on the Sunshine coast? You'd be cooking in this jacket.
