dyyoung - I love your midday! Is that sanguine or framboise? The midday is one of my favorite styles, so feminine.

dyyong - that bowling bag is so cute! Thanks for the pics - I'd always wondered what it would look like when carried.

elenj - very nice pics of you and your DD :)
cityoflight, meganka and saff - i always like your mod pics. MichK - i wish i can give you constructive feedback but i can't... the Brief style has always been one i'm curious (like Twiggy and Midday) to try but i always find more things not to like about it in the end. and the varying mod pics don't seem to help... you'd notice that the photos in the celebs threads usually show them with the bag handheld. maybe the bag looks better handheld, kwim? you're taller than saff (correct?) yet the brief doesn't look intimidating on her when worn on her shoulders. i'm as tall as saff and chloeglamour, btw. i've had good advice from a tPF'er that this style would probably be better on taller girls. i tend to take her advice, at least until i try out the bag irl. |

glossie - thanks for your thoughts
My thoughts on the Brief echo yours. I'd always been curious about the style - didn't like it all in the beginning, but gradually warmed up to it after seeing more and more mod pics. It does look great on the really tall gals (like drati - whose pics really inspired me to get a Brief). But what really sealed the deal was learning that the more petite ladies looked so great with the Brief (Chloeglamour and Saff - and Delmilano isn't really petite since she's a few inches taller than me, but she looks so great with her Brief). So, I don't quite understand why the Brief overwhelms me. I'm 5'3" - a little taller than Saff and CG - and the Brief looks like luggage on me! Let's hope it shrinks as it breaks in more (as with the Works and the WEs). When you do try one one, you have to tell me how you find it!

dyyong, Congrats on your new reds! I love you Sanguine Midday especially.
glossie, always love your unique style and of course the Emerald City. This was the first colour that I wanted in a Bal but never got one. Still on my consideration list but I need to see it IRL. Mich, I have a theory - I think the Brief doesn't seem to overwhelm me because I'm wearing a few winter layers - the jacket, the scarf, the bag... all in a mix of layers of fabric and material. I wonder if it would look big on me if I'm just wearing shorts and T-shirt... hence the bag is the primary focus. Will try to take pics and post... |

thanks, saff. you could consider the 09 fall green? it's brighter than 06 emerald, though. i didn't follow the comparison threads but i think it should be a good balance between emerald and VG.
forgot to comment on mash-ka-19's bag and shoes - love them! i also always enjoy i_love_yorkies' mod pics! you're one of them petite cuties who could rock a WE so well. |
