dear michk, the gh brief has thicker leather and the weight of the hardware make the bag break in nicely. i love the gh on this style, not too flashy at all IMO, more haute couture than flashy i would say. you should try one. the rh brief is more casual.

thank you saff, since i am a bal only girl, can't get to love another brand, i enjoy having different styles in my collection. the box style is adorable yet small for my everyday needs but it's so cute, that's why it has its place in my collection.

[QUOTE=MichK;11577608]Ooooh, great advice, roey! Thanks for that! I hadn't thought about folding the sides inwards... was just sort of pushing them with my hands to see if they'd naturally flop in. My Brief's measurements are the same size as yours. It's definitely the Brief - just very wide, for some reason!

And I agree with roey, Saff - the Brief looks a million times better on you! It looks like it was made for you! And that Mogano leather is looking so thick and smooshy. I need to figure out how to look like you with the Brief!QUOTE]

Mich, I don't think the brief looks bad on you at all, just a little wide compared to your works and WE's. I honestly think if you play with the sides and carry it for awhile you may find you like it more and more. I am used to north/south bags - bags that are longer and wider - having several Chanel totes in this style. It may be the same reason you don't like PT's - the extra width across your body. Until the PT starts to drape it can look weird. The first time I wore mine (SGH marine), my Mom actually asked me if I had anything in the bag. It was this long hot dog looking piece of leather to her!

When I looked again at saff's photos the sides of her brief are more narrow and perhaps fold inward more naturally due to the way it was stored or how the previous owner carried it.

roey - thanks you always make me feel so much better. I feel encouraged now to give my Brief a decent go and see if I can get it to flop a little more. I think I will definitely love it to pieces once the sides narrow. I'm pretty much loving it now, even when it's so wide (I only worry I'll look like an idiot). Thanks!

delmilano - thanks again... the GH Brief looks really good on you, Chloeglamour and roey... I'm definitely interested in giving it a go... but will give my RH Brief a second chance first. Thanks for the encouragement, sweetie

MicK: your cafe brief is absolutely perfect for you ... it's true, I love big bags and sometimes I'm not objective ... but, believe me, she looks great on you!
cityoflight: I can't say wich pic I prefer ... all your outfits are so delicious!!! Maybe your grey with vertical lines ... I like it very much!
meganka and saff: looking at your pics in winter dresses is like doing a little fashion trip around the world! I love PF also for this!!!

Thanks, roey! You're right about the seams in that one side of the bag is folded in and the other is softer and won't be folded inwards.

Mich
, what are you talking about?? You look absolutely fab in all the hardest bag styles to pull off. And you absolutely do NOT look like and idiot! Shush! The brief may look a tad wide at the bottom, but it does not look weird on you at all. In fact, it looks wide generally because of the triangular "samosa" shape

elenj, your little Melissa in your avatar is like a little angel :) (My youngest is my little angel too)

meganka : love your new work, oh it's winter time already in australia. love your boots.
