I searched for a long time for this one. I only wanted to buy one if I found it in mint condition and it was a 2001 - and then alas there she was! She only had one owner before me who bought her in 2001 and then never used her. What luck! I love that she is a bit larger then other first bags - almost between a first and a city. She joins my other le dix and fbf's - but she's super special:

Thanks everyone for all the well wishes. I plan to use the bag (or add it to my rotation) not just leave it on the shelf. The caribou is so different from the traditional leather - it seems like it could really take a lot of use and wear. This is my bag of the summer I think.

She's beautiful beaux, congratulations. And you think the caribou flat brass first is really larger than the other flat brass firsts? Or is it just the lack of slouch that makes it appear bigger?

Corey confirmed (in the 2001-04 clubhouse) that it's a bit larger - in addition the structure of the bag also makes it seems larger. I wouldn't say you can fit so much more inside of it then a regular first - but it has a larger profile when you wear it since it's structured and a tad larger. The first is my favorite style of late so this bag came at the right time. I did look for one (and lost a few along the way) for a long while.

Hey *Beaux* - we are "bag twins"!!!!! As a matter of fact, I was just able to 'score' a Le Dix Brown Caribou bag in addition to my Black one .. so excited!!!
