Is GGH Being Discontinued????

I haven't been lurking around these waters for a little while, (been really busy), and saw a Sahara Day with GGH on eBay that I am possibly interested in.

I was looking at a few of the posts in Search, and saw that there were some posts about GGH being discontinued. Please, please tell me this is not true??? I love GGH!!!

Why are they replacing it, what are they replacing it with, if anything, and is the GSH being discontinued as well? Any light you can shed on this would be greatly appreciated. I am devastated.... I have 4 Giant Hardware bags, only one with Gold Hardware, though....

What I heard was Bal will not make GGH in 2009 S/S, but we don't know if it will come back in the following seasons. All 2008 F/W bags still have GGH as an option.

Yes, the GGH is NOT on the SS09 lists. I love GGH, too...hopefully they will bring it back. Also, the Hobo and other models weren't on the list either.

hmmm....I just purchased a bag with GSH and really like it and was hoping to do GGH next...I guess this means I HAVE To buy a new purse

I just bought my first B-bag with GGH and just love it. It really makes the colors on the bag pop.

Thanks so much for your responses! It is, indeed, unfortunate that the GGH will be discontinued for SS '09. I guess the GSH has been more successful....I, too, will have to get my GGH bag soon!!!!!

My SA at BalLA said this isn't true.....he said that store hasn't heard this at all, but who knows?! I bought a black city with GGH just in case. I have one with GSH and thought I'd get a GGH one in the future....I don't want to take any chances, so I bought the gold today.

I am really sad that the GGH is being discontinued too! I think that is a big mistake, especially since the newer styles are only available with giant hardware. That pretty much counts me out for those styles.
