I am more or a work/city girl, but I have been contemplating the first because I saw the most gorgeous saturated eb color the other day! Can you wear the first over your shoulder with the handles or does it have to be carried? Can I wear that strap around my body like a city or pt? TIA

I'm a work/city girl too, but ended up with a Violet First because I loved the color/leather more than the violet cities I saw IRL. Great going out bag, but a little too small for every day. I wear it mostly with strap on shoulder, or handles hand held. Looks too small on me in the crook of my arm. Sometimes I wear it in the crook of my arm by the strap - very casual cool way to carry. No cross body for me, the strap is way too short for that. Handles are too short to go over my big shoulders but smaller girls can probably do it.

The handles don't really fit over the shoulder unless you are very thin. But the shoulder strap is very comfortable. I find that I can't carry my city by the shoulder strap- it just isn't comfortable for me, it's too long so the bag hits me in a wierd position- so I carry my city with the handles over my shoulder. I love to carry my first with the shoulder strap, or on my forearm. I don't like to hold it by the handles too much, because I'm afraid of messing up the handles with sweat, lotion, etc.

I am torn between favorite style being Work (for work) or First (for every day use).

i can fit my first over my shoulder, but it's not the comfiest bag to carry on the shoulder b/c unless you have next the nothing inside the bag it'll be kinda "poofy" underneath your arm.

i love my first, but i definitely dont get as much use out of it as my cities. i dont know if i would ever purchase another...

i the first, i use it every day & i tend to carry it over my arm. it holds my small umbrella, wallet, small hairbrush, lip gloss, tissues, cell phone & ipod ~ no problem. i absolutely adore the look of this little bag, when broken in, it has the cutest slouch ~ you will it too !!

Not unless you are very small

Or unless it's an older one with the longer strap.

Oh me girls, I have tried on and checked out the First everywhere I shop for Bals and it is just soooo small. Don't know what I would use it for, maybe a cosmetic case? Lol! It looks ridiculous on me. Just not my kind of bag I guess. The City is much much better and the Part-time is good too.
