Question Comparison of Argent vs. Griege?

Does anybody have comparison pictures of these two yet? Seen them both in real life? I'm very interested in getting a light grey Bbag and I can't decide whether to save some money and get a used Griege bag or wait for a brand-new Argent. If they're very similar it would be nice to find an older bag for less money.

Thanks! And if there's a better place for this question, please accept my apologies, mods.

Hmmm, good thinking Cheshire...At least an older bag will have all the "old" extras like the extra tassels, pocket on back of mirror and actual silver used on the metal plate instead of some "unknown" metal that will probably rust!!!

Thanks for the pics, Nanaz! They look very similar, but Griege appears a little darker? It looks like I could probably buy a Griege bag and not have too many regrets when I see Argent.

They are similar but i would say Argent is much lighter in person.

Here are comparison pics of my Greige and my Mom's argent. Argent is a silvery, icy gray. Greige is way more beige with gray tones and it's darker. Argent reminds me of a gray Dolma. You know how Dolma has that sort of frosty look? I see that in Argent too. It's a beautiful color and I don't think having one of each would be considered a repeat at all. I think Oatmeal is closer to Greige than Argent. Argent has no beige tones at all.
I have so many neutrals that I am undecided on Argent. I love it but not sure I need it and I'm still way on the fence with the Agneau leather. Granted the Argent has nice leather but how will it wear and what will it look like in a year or two?

Is that Greige for sure? My Greige doesn't have blue stitching or is it just showing up blue on my monitor?

I have griege (aulmoniere) and I have seen the argent IRL. The argent is a true light gray, while the griege is a gray with beige undertones. It's like the base colour on argent is white, while the base colour on griege is beige.
They are both pretty colours, and they both do the great bal colour change in different lights.

Great comparo's powder and nanaz!!!

I'm not feeling the Argent, too much of a cooler undertone that probably wouldn't sit well with my...color. I'm Yellow btw. Hhaha.

I'm more of a Greige gal. Agree that at least with the older bags, you get the tassels and SILVER plate vs. mysterious metal. Also seems like Greige will match more items, and be able to withstand usage better since it already has that "dirt" or beige colored undertone.

My Griege is actually closer to the one that powder posted... not closer, but IS the shade of powder's City. HTH.

Neither was I really until I saw my Mom's. It's so soft and pretty, also different from any other gray bags. It has sort of a frosty look. I really love it but like you, the higher prices for agneau, no tassels, etc. I would like to see how these new bags stand the test of time first.

Thnx powder for posting pics. I've found that personally, for me, the cool tones make me (not the bag) look strange. You're lucky, if memory serves me correctly from your posts, it would seem that you can wear nearly EVERY shade/color that Bal produces.

Lucky for me, I have less options and therefore, my wallet is safe. For now.

BTW - your moms Argent, I understand that its soft, but is it "pillowy?"
