Where the handles go down to the rivets, and then the leather loops around the metal part, and the leather goes back up to the other side of the rivet, I have taken a photo, and you can see how the leather is only on one side - there is cloth underneath. On my caramel flat brass, both sides are leather.

I hope someone can help me with this.

BearLouis, perhaps the upside down buckle will make it more valuable in the future, like when a postage stamp is released when it is off center!

I do feel so much better now that you have told me that your bag has some of the same features. (minus the upside down buckle) Could you take a look at the inside label photo that I just posted?

Hi all,

Have we discussed this one yet? It's a 2006 lilac twiggy and all checks out except the weird fading on the leather, I haven't seen a 2006 lilac look like this. It looks like it was left in a back seat of a car since Fall06. What do you think? Receipt says purchased Jan 2006 but I can't remember if lilac was Fall06 or Spring06...
