I have never heard of anyone having a problem with authenticity - and many TPFers have bought from them. They seem to have sales every few months or so - maybe on merchandise that has been a bit slower to move. They seldom have "classics" on the list such as rh cities, days or twiggies. If they do have what you like, it is a good deal. I can't help on the repair/exchange question - I am not aware of anyone who has returned a Bal Bahrain bag to a US Bal store.

Yes they're willing to send pictures but it may take a while. This is my story:

I called and asked for pictures on Thursday at 11:30AM.
She said she will send it before she left the store at 1PM.
She didn't.
I called again at 845PM. She said she was busy (understandable because they had a sale going on and it was the start of the weekend) but that she had my email open and she will send it soon.
I called again at 1015PM because I hadn't received the email but she said the pix were attached and that she was still busy. I asked when they closed, she said midnight.
I still haven't received any photos.
Tomorrow morning I will call again as soon as they're open and maybe I will get some pictures.

Anyone want me to make some inquiries while I'm at it?

Hi Tooomz, the question is, since she's dealing w/ so many people, sending pictures, will you be getting the exact bag that she sent you the pictures of, if you decide to buy it? I'm sure they have multiple number pieces of the same style w/ different types of leather. I think they only take pictures of 1 bag & send it to different people, then send you a different bag whatever is available.
It's a great deal & I'd love to buy from them too, there prices are very tempting. But is it worth the aggravation if something goes wrong. They have a very bad communication track record according to some people who got the problems.

I think there is an added intangible cost to the buyer of paying at their desirable prices which is fine as long as the buyer makes peace with watever leather they receive.

If there are strict leather preferences, then I think there's alot of work involved in getting one from Bahrain from the way it sounds. The multiple
tries of getting your request across from what i can see.

But if your order is such that you send an email and state what you want clearly, the process is cut short and I don't think anything would really go wrong, except that you have to take whatever leather that shows up.

In any case, these are brand new bags so at least we don't have the pain of receiving something with quality flaws or more flaws than what we thought. Even if so, that's a another story...

imlvholic, I'm not sure. She claims there is only 1 bag in the style I want so... *shrugs*

Called this morning, I was told the USB was the problem but that it is working and I will get photos soon. It's been 7 hours. I may just cut out the middle man and ask a friend to pick it up and send it to me.

well i did try to get pictures, she did reply promptly on the first day of the email.
however, she did not reply after. i guess they are really busy with the sale. though im hoping i could score a city/work/part time.

i wonder what is left from the sale.

I think that's the best thing to do if you know somebody who lives there. I wish I have a friend there, she can pick the best leather & save all this time on communicating, like pulling teeth to get a reply. Goodluck Toooomz...
