Default Mid-afternoon: over the shoulder?

Hi there!
I´m wondering if a mid-afternoon bag can be worn over the shoulder easily...?!
Or are the handles just as long as those on a city bag (which I know). It is important for me that a bag fits over the shoulder because I don´t like carrying a bag in my hand all the time.
Please please tell me now.....

BalNY told me today that all weekenders from Fall '07 forward will have long handles. They are no longer going to make the men's weekender. If this is old news -- sorry -- I am brand new to this subforum!

I don't, but the SA indicated that it would be the same as the current men's weekender. She also said that three colors from last season had long handles but could only name anthracite as one. Good news, eh!!???

Hey valkyrie360! That is good news for me because I really want a larger bag that will fit on the shoulder.

Hey NWpurselover; good to see ya here! That's what I want too! Something I can travel with -- a weekender probably...

The news about the Women's Weekender handles being longer is not totally new (since it started with F/W '07, and those bags have been out for quite a while), but I hadn't heard that the Men's Weekender was discontinued! I guess perhaps they thought there wouldn't be much point to the Men's Weekender since the only remaining difference would be the hardware (Men's Bbags all have pewter hardware).

I love the weekender and I am so glad that it will have longer handles to fit over the shoulders!

Question Work handles VS New Weekender handles

I'd really appreciate it if anyone can tell me if the weekender can be worn easily on the shoulder??? Is the handle drop of this bag larger than the city?? Any modelling pics of the weekender on the shoulder would be great! Also what is the current price of this bag?

Hi,
I have 2 weekenders from this season (sienna and slate) and I just bought a Camel weekender from last season. The new season weekenders have much more comfortable handles and fit on the shoulder very nicely, even with a jacket. The older weekenders required some stretching out of the handles from general wear before they reached the comfort factor.

The leather on the new weekenders is TDF!

I would post a picture of me wearing my weekender but I am having problems posting on this site from my Apple computer. I will try later from a PC. But let me tell you that there is nothing more fabulous than the weekender. Everywhere I go people geek out over my bag I get comments like: "Oh my God, your bag is SO HOT!", "That is the SEXIEST bag I have EVER seen!" etc., etc.

It will take you from super-chic fashionista to super-fabulous superstar!

Good Luck.
