I don't mind not having the tassles if these don't split anymore. I wasn't aware that the silver tag was silver!! I never thought about it I guess but now I think that is really great and that is sad if it isn't anymore. And last but not least, what did everyone use the pocket on the back of the mirror for anyway? I always thought it was too tight to fit anything in it anyhow. Was there something neat to put in it that I never have thought of?

Tassels don't just split, they also snap off sometimes. I really think they should include spares.

I don't mind about the no feet on the pt, I actually prefer it without feet. On the RH ones the feet serve no purpose anyway. But I'm not happy about the other changes, seems it's just about increasing profit lines.

I would love to see a comparison modeling shot of GH Parttime with feet and without feet - to see if the bag behaves/shapes differently!

I wonder if they removed the metal feet on the Giant Part-Time to make the bag a "lightweight 3.2 lbs" as it states on Balenciaga.com? [http://www.balenciaga.com/us/en/bale...kin-Gold.aspx]

I don't know how I feel about the missing feet, but the interior guested (sewn on top of the lining with depth) zipper pocket inside better still be there in the First bag...that's from the original design!! (Is it there now?)

The City could use a more Twiggy-like "built-in" zipper pocket that's deep inside to be more functional though, lots of people have said that. You know THEY read this board of opinions for future colors and changes, so speak your mind!

The mirror originally started out in Spring/Summer 2002 without the flat pocket on the backside, which I've always had a twisted Hollywood view of its purpose since I've never used it... it must be for storing your razor blade to go with the little coke mirror (sorry for my naughty humor, but I won't miss that pocket ;o)

It's funny they made the interior metal plate non-silver (925) I guess it could be any silver-toned metal... if it tarnishes, perhaps it will be like the '04/'05 Holiday Metallic bags in the Pewter color, they aren't marked for silver and they turn matte gray similar to the antiqued pewter hardware or the actual bag leather which is also Agneau for that Metallic edition and now all the bags.

I haven't experienced this latest season's bags F/W '08 in person yet, but I hope the ones I encounter don't feel like sandpaper or smell like plastic! yikes... I'd like them to be soft and vintage looking with color variation and depth.

I'm sad about these changes. I actually really liked the little pocket on the mirror and it seems cheap to get rid of that extra detail. I don't have any '08 bags - so I don't know how they would compare to what I already have.

I got my 08 Anthra City RH yesterday and it will be going back.

Leather seems well "thin" & "flimsy" and it almost seems like a "knockoff"!

Just seems like it is not finished as well.

I love the color but not enough for the price.

Also instead of an 08 Sapphire because the color was too deep & I was hoping more for a violet shade, I waitlisted at Bergdorf Goodman for the Chanel Le Marais in Purple and this bag is TDF.

It came yesterday and granted, it is not leather, but it's stunning. The quality is all there - you know what you are getting consistently - and it's $1,295.

Dollar for dollar, in this round, the Chanel wins by a landslide.

Chanel prices for the most part have gotten ridiculous so I won't be buying many more Cbags so if Bal quality issues continue and Chanel prices keep going up, I won't even need to go on a ban - I'll won't even be tempted.

PS - I didn't notice the smell though.

Gussets are kinda where they expand? Its basically folded material that compacts and expands.

Maybe Bal would like to completely get rid of tassels, and change everything to giant hardware! Isn't is strange that ALL of the new styles are only available with giant!?

Why the switch from goat to lamb all of a sudden? They have always used lamb on other bags but the motorcycle line has always been goat, to which which I have attributed the line's unusual lightness, durability, and lovely softeness. Anybody else?

I have ~40 bbags, and honestly I can't see any difference in goat and lamb! Can you really see/feel/smell the difference?
