Perplexed... (one rivet is notched differently)

Ok, I am very perplexed by the notches in the rivets of my Sahara Day. I checked all my other bags and the notches are not really uniformed in shape...but this one rivet on my Sahara has rectangular notches...has anyone seen that before?

as compared to the other...

That is very strange. So one is rectangular and the other is "normal"?

yea, when I looked at it, first thing I thought was "wow, it's so ... rectangular" haha, then I looked at the other one and it looked "normal-er".

Hmmm.

That IS odd. I just ran to my Sahara City to check her rivets. They appear to be "normal."

I got my bag autheticated my the ladies on the authenticate thread before purchasing and I did purchase from a reliable seller, I just find it so odd!!

Wow, I have not seen that before!! Some of mine are very close to rectangular, but not that perfect...

My Pale Magenta Twiggy (purchased from AR) has notches like this as well. One of the rivets has "normal" notches and the others have notches like the ones pictured above.

^ You've got the new notch there and the previous notch design too on the same bag. I wonder if that means your bag got the very last of the previous "notched style" rivets ;o)

The rivets have changed once again to thwart the fakers, but "square notch" rivets doesn't seem any harder to make than the previous notch but it slows 'em down, eh.

I've been seeing '08 bags with the new and previous rivet, so it's like S/S '05 all over again ;o)
