Default Should I LMB my handles after using it?

Hey ladies! I've had my Violet Work for several months now and I've only been using AG spray on the entire body and handle - too prevent the warming on the handles and stain marks on the body. Now, I'm considering using LMB FHO on the handles but wanted to ask if that would be okay even if I've used the bag already? Or would I mess it up more?

Thanks!

I've always wondered about this. On her site it says for new handles only ( I think), so I always assumed it would ruin the handles if they'd already been used. Glad to hear otherwise! The handles on my Pale Rose City are just starting to warm and I wanted to do something before they get worse!

Same here. Are we suppose to mix different leather care products together? Say if we used AG, could we just put LMB on it? or we have to clean the bag before putting something on?

I use LMB for handles only and then I spray applegard on the entire bag. I never had any problem with the mixing of two products. I did notice that LMB FHO does take the shine off of the handles, but that doesn't bother me much.

I JUST took the plunge and used FHO on the handles of my Plomb City (which is a year old and has been worn plenty of times before) and my Ocean Day (which is brand new). I'd already treated both bags with Apple spray and conditioner. I was terrified that (a) the FHO would discolor the handles (especially on the Ocean) and (b) leave them too matte.

Well, I'm pleased to report that everything worked out fine!! (First, I should say that I did test it on the back of both bags' mirrors first and then on a Rebecca Minkoff bag I have. I wasn't taking any changes and wanted to "perfect my technique.") Once the product dried, there was no discoloration whatsoever (just don't slop it on!). The handles DO become more matte than before, but if you follow the instructions carefully and do the last step -- BUFF the heck out of the handles! -- enough shine will return that the handles will pretty closely resemble the rest of the bag.

If I buff it hard, would I rub off the FHO cream that's supposed to protect the handles in the first place?

Thanks ChiChi143. I have my 07 First on the way from RDC which was treated with LMB FHO. I hope it wouldn't bring any demages if i put water/stain repellent i bought locally.

Maybe i should try abit on the conor/mirror. Hope it will be alright. Otherwise may need to order LMB but the postage just too much. Heard that LMB will have distribution in Australia. Wonder When and Where?
